Opened email from RCCL yesterday and searched our cruise for next year.

$700.00 price reduction !!!!!! :dogdance: Dial, connect, wait a bit, talk to rep, BINGO, hung up, new invoice sent and received !!!!! What's not to love. A few more emails and maybe we cruise for free.

THANK YOU RCCL

PSA---KEEP ON CHECKING YOUR CRUISE AND YOU MIGHT BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. Sad but true it seems that our DCL day's are most likely over. We had a 4 day Dream 1BR concierge last month and were slightly disappointed when comparing to our Dream 2015 1BR concierge. Our 2018 Oasis is a Sunday to Sunday-Crown Loft at less than a 2018 Dream 4 day, I don't imagine DCL can be competitive.

That's great! Definitely a good idea to check daily.
We have a cruise booked on Symphony for 2019. I have yet to see a price reduction but I do keep checking.

Fabulous!

I’ve never encountered a price dedication at all. Sigh.

And with Royal there are some refutations that are for new bookings only, some that don’t combine with current discounts, etc, so I urge newbies to not count chickens before they’ve hatched, if they see a reduction. Wait until you’ve been told it does apply to you before you get excited.

Wow...so thank you for this John! I have never managed to snag a price drop on Royal since I usually book right when the itineraries come out. But after your post, I called and had them check on all 4 of our cabins for June 2018 and we saved a total of $1450!
Of course the casino will get part of that back, I'm sure, but it is still a nice drop!! And even though Bumbershoot is right about the restrictions on many sales, this one combined with both the casino discount on my cabin as well as the Crown & Anchor discount for those that don't have casino comps. YMMV as always with Royal Caribbean, but it certainly doesn't hurt to call!

All I can say is Holy Moly crabbymom!!!! Well done

Good deal there I was thinking of doing another cruise with royal but the cruise I was thinking of is £3399 for one person while three people go for £3331. I can understand a cruise ship without solo cabins charging double but more than treble is just a rip off, so I am going to Pop Century this year.

Look at it as you were savvy enough to book at the best time lol. That's what i tell myself.

You have to be careful as to losing whatever OBCs you already have/possibly getting locked into a NR rate too.

With Royal or Celebrity I always book with a large online TA during one of their major holiday sales where they toss tons of goodies at you. Otherwise, i book myself for flexibility.

Doing the happy dance :banana:just paid off April sailing but I do watch my rates. They have dipped a bit since i booked but when factoring in all my OBCs, pre-paid gratuities, free dinner, etc. I'm still several hundred dollars under any rate I've seen.

Just wanted to report with the WOW sale that just ended I was able to get a price drop on my upcoming Oasis cruise for this November for me and DH in a Grand Suite of almost $500 plus a $350 OBC! I was very pleased.

I thought it might be for new bookings only but no the rep on the phone clicked a few buttons and even offered to be our personal cruise planner going forward. It was a very nice experience.
