we've been to dlrp 5 times once in may the rest of the time in November for the christmas season.I love Christmas season, parades, atmosphere etc, but I feel we should experience a different season but not sure I could bear to miss xmas. We were thinking of going 5/10. I wondered what the weather is like then, how big the crowds would be and if there is a lot of atmosphere. I would be grateful for any advice to help make my decision...:goodvibes

We have been at Christmas and Halloween and we do love Christmas - however Halloween is a great time to go as well. The park has a great atmosphere at Halloween and worth seeing if only once :)

If you've already tried Christmas season why not give Halloween a try. It is great fun and the decorations fab. I'm not sure what the weather is usually like but we went in October half term a couple of years ago and the weather was lovely too.

I worked there for a couple of months & I was there for the whole of Halloween. It's pretty quiet on week days in October & you don't have to queue much for anything & there's still a great atmosphere with the halloween cavalcade in the mornings which is great for the kids as the characters hand out sweets & things & then you have the halloween parade in the afternoon. You also have a few little halloween shows going on throughout the day, for example the goofy or stitch halloween show. The decorations look amazing which are enjoyed by adults & kids. I'm 21 & absolutely loved it there at halloween!!! would definetly recommend it!! But maybe avoid weekends if you can as it can get very busy!

forgot to add- weather was also great!!! i dont remember any rain!! started to get chilly towards the end of the month but still lots of sunshine!! as long as its dry you can wrap up warm but the weather never bothered me or my family when they came out to visit, it was perfect

In 2005, we were in Disneyland in the middle af oct.
We have very good weather. No rain, but lots af sun...

Halloween was great - a good atmosphere.
And there was not as many people, as in december

thanks for all the advice,Halloween sounds like good fun so we are going to go for it. Now to start planning in earnest:surfweb:

we loved Christmas season, though don't think we would do it again mainly due to the cold so would do Halloween.

i think you've made a good choice in going for halloween! it will be something different for you & im sure you'll love it!

We've done both and while Christmas was magical, Halloween is a really fun time and the park decorations are fab, plus you get all those naughty villains around the park. :thumbsup2
