This is my first review. Sorry no pictures. I will do my best. We are a family of 4, DH, myself, DD-10, and DS 13. My DD is a very picky eater and eats very little. In fact, she has to take medication to increase her appetite because she is so under weight. Sure wish I had that problem! This was the first time going and not doing the dining plan because she is now a Disney adult. We could not justify paying for adult meals for her. She either shared with me or ordered off the kid's menu. (Side note: She was always allowed, but some CMs were rather put off when asking for a kid's menu. She was always charged extra for her drink and dessert even though it is listed as included.) Here is where we ate. Please feel free to ask specific questions.

Christmas Morning Breakfast: Boma -- always a favorite. We eat here every trip. This was our 9th in 10 years.

Christmas dinner: Via Nappoli -- I purposely picked a less expensive option this evening because we have TIW and this day is blacked out. It was OK. My husband loves a 4-cheese pizza. He orders it as a favorite at home. It is drizzled with olive oil and garlic and has a variety of white cheeses. To say the least it was not nearly as good as the one we order at home. This was very greasy and soggy. The risotto balls were very good! Service was very poor. Our server also did not smell very well and that didn't help our appetites. My children both got spaghetti and meatballs.

Shula's -- An amazing meal! We ate their our last trip (DH and I only trip) and decided to take our kids this visit. It didn't disappoint. They were very happy to let us share steaks with our kids. I can only eat about 4 oz. of steak, so my son and I shared the 10 oz. filet. They split it for us. We didn't ask, they just did it. We also had the tomato and mozzarella salad. It is very big. My husband and I shared. The server suggested and it was also split for us in the kitchen. My daughter and husband shared a ribeye. We also had the crab and macaroni cheese, roasted corn, the chocolate suffle and hot apple crisp. All fantastic and great service!

Crystal Palace breakfast -- Very good! I dislike how rushed it seems because of the characters, but still enjoy it very much. This was our second visit and is beginning to make it to the must do every trip. I love the Pooh puffed french toast.

MK Dessert Party -- I feel you are paying for the convenience and view. That is the way I look at it. The desserts are OK, but some people are so rude. They crowd in and devour. I get a couple things, sit down and enjoy the space and fireworks. We have done this 4 times now and will continue especially during the holidays when it is so crowded!

Columbia Harbor House -- We ate here before the fireworks. Had the shrimp, fish, and chicken. All of us enjoyed our food. It is the typical fried shrimp, fish and chicken.

Mama Melrose's -- Despite other reviews, we do like this restaurant. We eat here almost every trip. We started doing it for the Fantasmic package, but this time we ate there for the food only -- no package. We have seen the show so many times and I really didn't want to spend the money on my DD as an adult this year. I wasn't very hungry, so my husband I shared the pasta with vodka cream sauce. I have it almost every trip and it is consistently good. They split in the kitchen and we still had some left over. We also shared the calamari and tomato and mozzarella appetizer. My son got the seafood stew. He loves it! Gets it every time -- not something I like, but he thinks it is great.

Be Our Guest -- Our least favorite by far! So rushed, server was not pleasant, very put-off when my daughter asked for a kid's menu. My son and I ordered the steak (we did not share), my husband got the chicken,
my daughter go the kid's steak. I ordered the French onion soup. I had it on a previous trip for lunch and it is the exact same at dinner. My son and daughter each got dessert. Even though it is listed as included with the kid's menu, my daughter was charged for the dessert and drink. We found this to be true at every restaurant.

Narcoossee's -- This was our second visit. I ordered the lobster. It is served with a creamed corn and popcorn butter sauce. That was fantastic! My husband had the shrimp and linguini. It was also very good. We had calamari as an appetizer. My daughter had grilled chicken. Her side salad she ordered was really good! My son had a grilled shrimp. My favorite was the warm sour dough bread with salted butter. Yum! We ordered dessert, but I can't remember what it was now.

New Year's Eve -- Rose and Crown -- We had a fantastic seat next to the water and were seated 1/2 an hour before the fireworks went off. Amazing view! Food was excellent! We all had fish and chip, except for my daughter who had grilled chicken. We had the potato leak soup and an apple salad of some sort for appetizers. The soup was great. We didn't care for the salad, it was too sweet for our tastes. Our server did her best. It was VERY busy, so she was a little overwhelmed. We were glad it was slower service because it allowed us to enjoy our food and enjoy the fireworks. We also had dessert.

New Year's Day -- Liberty Tree Tavern lunch -- A pleasant surprise. This was our first visit. We really enjoyed lunch. We would not have cared for the dinner because we are not huge fans of Thanksgiving dinner food. I had the pot roast -- very good. My husband had a mushroom and swiss burger. Very good -- we ended up sharing our two. My son had a bowl of clam chowder. It was gone so fast, I couldn't tell you what it tasted like. My daughter had pasta with red sauce and actually finished it! We had fried cheese as an appetizer and the ooey gooey coffee cake for dessert. The best dessert I had the entire trip!

Ohana's -- We had a later reservation time -- 8:30. That ended up being way too late for my kids. They were so hungry by the time we got there, they were unhappy children! I insisted on a light lunch and no snacks because I wanted everyone to be hungry. Probably not a great idea. The food was good. I wish they still had the salad. I am not a fan of the lettuce wraps although my husband likes them. Usually we feel we are so rushed during this dinner, not this time, it was so slow! We waited forever between items. I think we ate a lot less because of this. We ate more of each thing because it was so long until the next item arrived. My husband didn't even eat the shrimp and I only ate two.

Jiko -- surprisingly good! I didn't think I would care for it given the menu, but decided to be adventurous. It was very good! Not my favorite of all the locations we ate at, but would go back again. I had the filet (sauce was very good) and husband had the mahi mahi. We also had an appetizer. I can't remember what it was called, but it reminded me of an eggroll with spinach, cheese and mushrooms. We really enjoyed that and the dessert was amazing!

Boma again for breakfast! What can I say -- it is amazing! My favorite is the goat cheese scrambled eggs and the bread pudding with sauce. Amazing!

We had numerous counter service meals. The Mara at Animal Kingdom lunch almost every day for breakfast or lunch. We stayed there. It is OK for counter service. I like their breakfast croissant sandwich. The burgers are also good. We also visited the Pepper Market. The tepenados (sp.?) are good. I didn't care for the beef tacos.

Please ask if you have specific questions. I know I am leaving a lot out, but it is the basics of our dining.

thank you so much for your reviews..

Sometimes no photos are necessary..I could almost see each of your food options..

We are going to go to Rose and Crown for the first time next trip...and your talking about the soup ..I can hardly wait.

We went to Ohanas last May and made reservations again for our next trip..we really enjoyed the meal..

thanks again for taking the time to do this

Nice reviews, thank you. We have been so excited to try BOG for the first time on our next trip. It's too bad about your experience. We've been reading other reviews that are similar. I am still probably going to try it, just because I want to see inside!

I had to try it as well. I did not have high hopes since I had read some mixed reviews. It is one of those places, for me, that I had to try once, but won't be trying again. Have fun on your next trip!

We have been to BOG twice now for quick service instead of table and REALLY enjoyed it!

We are planning a stay at AKL in September. I noticed you did Boma for breakfast twice. I've seen so many rave reviews I wanted to try it for dinner. Would you recommend trying dinner or breakfast or is it worth trying both? Also, did you try Sanaa and how would you compare between the two choices. Thanks!
