This is a bit early as they're not even offering it until 10/31, but...

I saw pictures last year that showed the door banner had a Christmas Tree on the back and you could get customized ornaments to place on the tree.

It looks like they changed the entire package this year but the door banner isn't well described - Anyone know if this is the same door banner as last year or if they've changed to a new one?

($450 and I mainly get customizable felt tags and blankets? Really?)

Not sure about this - but we just brought our own decorations and spent about 15 minutes when we got to our room decorating. We used window clings, string lights, and a light up Mickey ears decoration. We also had a pre-lit mini Christmas tree and hung some mistletoe from the ceiling fan hardware. Cost a lot less than $450 and it was so festive!

I brought our own decorations as well. I bought a small tree for about $10 or less, got some battery powered lights, and made decorations from stickers. It was very festive and a lot cheaper than the Disney decorations.

I bought a 2 foot tree at a garage sale for a dollar. I made homemade ornaments for it that correspond to what we're doing each day in the parks. I'm also going to bring a string of lights and an extension cord. When we go home I will leave the tree but bring the ornaments home (More room for souvenirs).

I have done several in room celebrations in the past. I went and checked out this one as at first I was like thinking there was a mistake.:scared:
I have to say that I wouldn't recommend it as it seems like they cut a lot out of the room celebration as well as upped the price. All our room celebrations had stuffed animals, a picture frame or photo book, and signed autograph book. It really look like it it just a banner, blanket, pillowcases (and looking at the picture it looks like a white pillowcase with red mickey heads on the edge is all), 2 headbands with noses, some luminaries and decor, and bins of "treats". And for us the treats were usually not stuff we would have gone out of our way to get. They were OK but not the best treats from Goofy's candy shop. I can hardly believe they don't have a stuffed animal in it especially for that price.:confused3 The first things my kids went for is the new stuffie on the bed.
Maybe they forgot to put everything in the description as that is not worth $450 even for Disney prices.:faint: If that is it I hope people don't book it or complain or I think they may change the other room celebrations to offer less for more.:(

Yeah, I agree this looks really lame. I had wanted to do it last year as the banner itself was a "tree" on the back side that you could put personalized ornaments on with velcro but it was sold out. It looks like that's gone too. I've done 2 in-room celebrations: The disney princess one (which seems to be radically changed too) that was expensive but very worth it for my mom and the welcome one (which seems to be gone now) which was not quite as worth it but a lot of fun and at least made the day special. I can't see this being close to either of those.
