I know this is one of the busiest times of the year but with teenagers in school and me being a teacher, we are going the week of Christmas to NYE. I am wondering about places to eat. We do not want any character meals but will need a sit down meal each evening ( if nothing else but to rest). Where would you suggest during this busy time? I am aware that we will need to get in the parks and stay so that is why I feel we will need a rest each day. QS is ok with us too. Guessing watching the fireworks is too late to eat?? And what about NYE? I can't decide which park so I can't decide where to make ressies.

Since you're not sure which parks on which days, I would make reservations for restaurants in the resorts. We're planning to try O'Hana's on our upcoming trip (at the Poly) which consistently gets good reviews. You can view the menus at www.allears.net to see which restaurants you might like. I would highly suggest making reservations for any table service meals you want at the 90 day mark. That will definitely be a busy week.

We had Christmas dinner last year at Whispering Canyon and really enjoyed it. We love being in WL at Christmas. Afterwards we went to DHS to see the Osbourne Lights. Made for a really nice evening. We have gone many times at Christmas, and you definitely want to make sure you have ADRs. You also might want to try the restaurant that's replacing Spoodles at the Boardwalk. Going to the BW at least gives you a little break from the crowds. Spoodles was DS favorite restaurant, so I'm hoping the replacement is good.

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Biergarten--very good and festive. We had Christmas at Tutto--just okay. We also ate at some of the resorts, which was less frenetic and gave us a chance to see the resort decorations. For example, had lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe and then watched a demo of a gingerbread house being made with samples to eat. Lots of fun.

Christmas Day was spent at MK. We had breakfast at CRT, Lunch at Tony's (which we pretty good despite mixed reviews), and Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern (when they still had characters). It was crowded and did close a few times, but everyone was nice and had the holiday/Christmas spirit.

NYE we were in the MK...:scared1: YIKES :scared1:! We had ADRs at CP, CRT, and LTT. By 4pm it was just crazy! We would have left, but had ADRs we had to stay for.

The key to the parks is to get there at EHM RD if you are staying on property. This year it was 7 am for MK. CD we were at the turnstyles about 6:15 am and for RD on NYE.:woohoo:

Hey.. from ur post it seems to be really exicted dinner.. But may i know more about the Disney restaurants...
