I started reading the teen girls Christmas ideas but most of those are still beyond my 12 year old's interests.

I would love to share ideas for our tween girls (10-12).

My dd still isn't completely sure what to ask for. Clothes seem boring still, yet she isn't playing with toys much anymore. This is a really tough age to shop for!

Here is what I have so far:
Jenga
Simpsons Trivia Game (found on clearance at Target)
Furbling (the baby version of a furby)
Darn Yarn Kit

My 12 yr old wants:
1. An American Girl doll--I think Samantha
2. a Turn Board so she can work on her turns
3. Pilates stretch bands
4. Some kind of pink ball to roll under her feet, and some weird rolling pin looking thing to roll out her muscles
5. new tights
6. renew her Minecraft server for another year
7. some program so that she can record games and post them to youtube
8. Tickets to see The Nutcracker.
9. Anything Dr Who.
10. Gift card for some game server, her dad knows what it is.

Yes, she is a geek, a nerd, and a serious dancer.
I miss toys.

My 10 yr old is asking for:

1. iPad mini
2. Headphones-found Skull Candy on the clearance rack at Target for $20. They are discontinuing the color and I saved $40
3. Spirograph
4. Snap Circuits
5. Smash Book
6. Art supplies
7. Schleich Horses- These are the only thing she really plays with and she's borderline obsessed with collecting them.
8. A charm bracelet--not sure what kind yet.
9. Minecraft Alarm Clock

For her stocking I'll pick up an iTunes gift card, EOS lip balm and a few other inexpensive odds and ends.

I decided to check out this thread because my DD13 is not interested in make up, boys, clothes, etc.

We redid DD's bedroom for her birthday last year and got her this hammock chair which hangs from her ceiling. She has a large room and it isn't close enough to be a danger to her tv. All of her cousins love it and would like to have one, too.

All of the kids in my family want mini refrigerators for their rooms for some reason. My mom got DD one for her bday this year. It is black and came with dry erase markers to write on the door. Everyone who goes in her room likes to write on it! I'm planning to get her a case of V8 Frusion juice with a Barnes & Noble gift card attached for Christmas.

Thanks for the snap circuit idea!!!

Love the Snap Circuit- that is going on my list- Where did you find a Minecraft Alarm Clock?

Pbteen has a lot of fur type items: sleeping bag, ball chair, pillows, bean bags, etc...very cute.

I love PB teen. Both kids (9 and 11) have their bedding from there. They do good sales and lots of free shipping. I get 20% off a few times a year too. They have great room accessories and jewelry. For me it's stylish without breaking the bank. Last year DD got a suitcase from PB teen.

Only thing I have so far for her is a Chamilia charm. I would like to get her another lego Minecraft set. No makeup. Her dad would sue me for full custody : ) I try to keep my budget for each child under $150 so it ends up being a handful of small things.

From the relatives she'll ask for gift cards (Gap, Claire's, Target, Barnes & Noble, Disney).

If you search 'creeper led alarm clock', there's a couple options available.

Thanks! I'll check them out.
Has anyone tried Jamberry nail wraps? My daughter loves having her nails done. Are these appropriate for a 10 year old? Are they worth the money?

I LOVE Jamberry for my 9 year old. She will have to have help applying them...but they last 2 weeks+ on my DD. MUCH MUCH longer than any kind of nail polish regards of the quality/number of coats/clear coat I put on. Big fan here.

Too cool! Do you buy them online or can you find them stores?

My 12 year old wants:
an American Girl Doll (Kit)
AG accessories and animals

so far that is all she has asked for. I did get tickets to the Broadway Show Newsies for her main present. She has no clue as they won't be coming anywhere near us. We will be taking her to Atlanta to see it. Her musical theater class performed Newsies this year and she became obsessed with the movie. She is even wearing her costume for Halloween this year.
I do ITunes GC, socks, nail polish and little things for her stocking.

Will these help my DD not bite her nails perhaps?

What is this turn board and where did you get it????

I can't believe I haven't seen this turn board, that is a great idea

Is this turns as in dancing? My dd would love something like that! Please share!
