I'd bought a kit to make 4 glass photo coasters from Target as a gift for my sister. Kit costs $15. That just didn't seem right to me.

Sure enough, a quick Google Froogle search finds that these things are popular with brides these days as favors. They can be found for $1.50 or less if you buy a bunch.

Insert your own photo (of the kids, of your Disney vacation, of something near and dear to the recipient, etc.) and you've got an inexpensive gift that will actually be used and not stuffed in a drawer somewhere.

My Mom loves puzzles and I see that Kodak has a way to put pictures on puzzles. It seems like a good idea, does anyone know where I can find some other options? Has anyone gotten a puzzle from Kodak?

There are a number of places that do it. Your local drug store or somehwere like Target or WalMart might do it as well. Also check:

There are also other gift options including throw blankets (WalMart among others) clocks (cafepress among others), mousepads (nearly all of them)
