Hello...my mom is trying to come up with some gift ideas for my brother's girlfriend...they have been dating for a year but my mom is still not sure what to get her. She still lives at home with her parents and is attending nursing school...like I mentioned she is 24. She is somewhat trendy but def. laid back. She does have a Coach purse, but I think my mom's budget is in the $50 range so that will not buy much at Coach :) Any ideas what a girl her age would like? If you ask my brother he really has no ideas...lol!

Does she wear makeup? Maybe a nice makeup kit from MAC cosmetics or Sephora. Or a giftcard to get a manicure/pedicure.

How about a gift certificate to a nice spa in her area? $50 should be enough for a nice pedicure or a short massage??

I love to give lotion candles. Do a search for 'Lotion Lites'. You can buy scented or unscented & they are wonderful. Makes my hands feel nice & they smell wonderful.

ETA: I don't sell these nor do I have any affiliation with them. I just love their products & have bought several for both personal use & as gifts.

how about a gift certificate to a coffee shop? As a nursing student, I'm sure that she has many late nights! I'm a 22 year old college student, and I tend to spend a lot of money on coffee....

Well I am 23 years old.. Some gifts I get from people at times..(such as my boyfriends mom) Lotion sets, ornaments, scrapbook supplies or such (if she is into that sort of thing) Cute jewelry matching sets they come out with around the holidays, matching scarf and mitten set, candles!! :)

I am also a big fan of Sephora and MAC. They always have cute gift sets around the holidays. Gift cards from those places also seem to be very well received. I would think Ulta and Beauty brands would also be well received.

$50.00 may not buy much at Coach, but she knows that.

At Macy's right now and probably other stores too.

You can buy a Coach Wristlet, key chain, or mini skinny, they are all just under $50.00.

Personally, I think the Coach wristlet would make a great gift.

My daughter loves Bath & Body Works, for $50 you can get alot of stuff, lotion, shower gel, body spray, lip gloss... They have coupons all of the time!
Right now its$10 off $30 and buy 3 products get 2 free. PARIS is the new scent that is popular.

My son's girlfriend is 24 years old and I usually spend about $50 on her. Over the years, I've given her gift cards to Starbuck's, Kohl's and Bath and Body Works. I've bought her a jewelry box, her favorite cologne and mittens, scarf and hat. This year, I'm thinking about buying her a Brighton charm bracelet and a couple of beads to get her started.

My daughter that is 22 loves the pandora bracelet. If your mom started one for her she could get a charm/bead for her for future holidays as well. Another thing my daughter loves is Vera Bradley bags and/or accessories.

I'd check out the Coach factory store. You can get a wristlet, makeup bag, phone case and many other small items for $50. I found a small handbag for $60 last Christmas season.

My daughter is 24-these are all great suggestions! My favorite is the Coach wristlet because it shows you took the time to get her something you know she likes.

These are all great suggestions...thank you! I do think my mom is trying to stay away from giving gift cards although the spa giftcards are a great idea!!:goodvibes

24 year old girl here! I -love- my Pandora bracelet, and the wristlet is a pretty good idea too. I think a thoughtful gift basket that's coffee/tea related would also be really nice.

Former (tired) nursing student here- a massage would be AWESOME. Between lugging all the books around, dragging your tired body to clinicals and just the stress of it all, a massage would be great. :thumbsup2

As a semi young daughter in law and a former college/grad school student, my vote would be NO perfume, lotion, etc. I cannot tell you how many holidays I got those from my inlaws. I know they meant well, but I rarely use the stuff, so years later i still have most of it....

The coach wristlet and spa gc are my top two ideas. A spa gc isn't like a store gc - it's a real present and one i could never get too many of! In fact I got a 90 min massage last week, planning a pedicure on Monday or Tuesday and another massage on our trip at the end of next week!

I almost forgot - the pandora bracelet idea is great too, and would help in the future gifts dept! If your mom doest use that one, mention it to your brother!
