Hey, we're thinking of eating at WDW on christmas day, Im just wondering where is the best resturant to do so and do they do christmas dinner ect. thanks

My advice...If you are specifically looking at MK, plan on getting to the MK for rope drop and not leaving for the day.If MK closes for capacity on XMas...and it usually does. You will not be admitted if it is closed, even for a dining ressie

I'm going to move this over to our restaurant board.

You'll also want to be sure to make your ADR just as soon as your 90 day window opens, as they'll go VERY fast!

In 2007 we did Christmas Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern because we had heard that that was a must-do. It was back when it was a character meal, and that part was fun, but the food was less than impressive.

In 2008 we did a late dinner at Narcoosees at the Grand Floridian and it was wonderful! We had a table along the windows and could see the castle across the water. The Electric Water Parade (don't know if thats its actual name) floated by right in front of our window.

I would try to get the castle (if possible) if I was going to eat anywhere inside of MK for Christmas dinner. Otherwise, I would go to one of the nicer restaurants on the monorail.

Also, like a previous poster mentioned, MK is packed on Christmas. The past two years, we went to the park early, rode a few rides and then went back to the resort to rest. Later on in the day the crowds have subsided a little bit and its more manageable in the evenings, at least thats how it seemed to us.

We have been to wdw for the last 4 xmas weeks and will be returning this year. If we are there for xmas day, we do not go to any park, but would especially avoid mk that day. We start the day opening gifts(we are dvcmembers and usually stay in 1bedroom and bring a small tree and decorations), have a late breakfast(10:30am) at 1900 PF, visit the gingerbread house they go to DTD or watch football and then go to a resort for late dinner. We have been to Artist Point one year and the decorations really put you in the spirit..we got puch and cookies while waiting in the rocking chairs by the fireplace..xmas tree is also beautiful. another year we had 9pm dinner at Calif Grill and saw holiday wishes and had a tremendous meal. We also have dressed in holiday attire because we haven't been to a park..it really makes for a great holiday. We miss xmas day this year but will be there for NYE and day.

Has anyone been to WCC? Although I had ADR's for CG I cancelled them (now doing CG Christmas Eve) thinking this would be a more fun place. We visited WL during the season last time at DW and it really felt like Christmas.

I was able to book Christmas Breakfast at CRT for 8:30am and LTT for dinner at 6:15pm. We are going to be at the gate a long time prior to park opening, and so far it is EMH at 8am and we will stay all day long.

There seemed to be plenty of availability and I am shocked. This will be our first being at MK on Christmas Day.
