We are about to take our ninth Christmas trip to WDW. We have eaten many different places and had various experiences. One place in particular we liked the food a lot, but had poor service. We were at Artist Point three years ago and had a wonderful meal but the service was less than acceptable.

Anyway, we have discussed going back again, but according to Deb Will's site it looks like in 2003 they offered their regular menu (not that I would complain about that but dh wants the availability of a traditional Christmas dinner).

I notice that many of the places have amazing menus for Thanksgiving but they don't appear that way for Christmas. It would be wonderful if the same restaurants offered similar menus for Christmas.

Does anyone know of any restaurants like Artist Point that are listed on Deb's site (Narcoosees too) as only having a change in hours that actually had a wonderful holiday dinner offering?

Thanks for your answers in advance. I am sure there are lots of people who will be interested in them!

Well, we've only been there twice for Christmas Day so consider this more of a bump than a helpful reply.

I think one reason it is harder is that there are so many different different traditions at Christmas. Around here, traditions vary from beef to ham to turkey to a crown pork roast. I know some people do goose too as it is always available in our stores at Christmas. I think most of the nicer restaurants had at least one of those type of entrees on their menu.

Prime rib with Yorkshire pudding is our tradition so we dined at Rose & Crown both times and did the Candlelight Dinner package.

I think Kona or 'Ohana offered turkey with trimmings the last year we were there for Christmas which was 2002.

Thanks for the info, BCV23. I think you are probably right. But it was worth a shot in asking. I have gone and read things that came up on the search function early this a.m. and have gotten more info from there. I think the resort restaurants tend to change from year to year also. Thanks again.
