We just booked an whirlwind trip to America, flying in to LA at 10.30am from New Zealand on Christmas Day. We are driving to Vegas the next morning. Is it worth going to Disneyland on Christmas Day even for just half a day? I guess we would get there around 2pm. If not the plan was to just go to downtown Disney as we are going to stay in Anaheim that night anyway. We have already done 9 days at disneyworld this year, so the rides and character meet and greats aren't as important. But I'm struggling with being so close to Disney and not actually going into the park. Even to see the castle lit up and the Christmas decorations. What would yo do?

It's a peak day. You're going to pay $119 per person ($169 for a hopper) to get into the park. If it's worth it to you to spend about 8-9 hours in the park shoulder to shoulder to see the castle lit up and possibly a few rides, then go for it.

The first third of Christmas day is usually quite pleasant as most are home waking up to Christmas morning. By later in the day, it is one of the busiest days in the park and everyone and their Grandma are at the park for Christmas. It will be a zoo...but if you know that going in and just wanna take in the Christmas decorations and a ride or two...I would certainly do it.
