Christmas day/lunch, to park or not to park?

Hi

It was really good going to ICE, but you're round it in less than an hour.
There is a nice atrium where you can get hot chocolate and have a good look round afterwards. Its quite nice just to sit and relax there.

A couple more pics of ICE

It all looks fabulous Tracy, we are definitely going to go for both ICE and the hotel itself, did you book for Christmas Day in advance?

Hi Louise,

Yes I booked on line. Its not expensive, but different for Christmas Day.
We got there fairly early and it wasn't too busy at all!
All the family enjoyed it!

Have you decided where you're going to eat?

Hi Tracy
Yes online looks good, it also gives an indication of which days are getting busy, so I will keep an eye on that and book before it gets too booked up and hopefully when the exchange rate improves!!
No haven't decided where to eat yet. We have already booked for Cirque du Soleil on Christmas Day (6pm), so thought ICE then brunch at Gaylords, then onto DTD for Cirque. Or lazy morning then brunch/lunch then DTD and cirque.
Decisions, decisions!

Managed to get ICE booked for 7-7.30pm on Christmas Day. hoping to get a table at Villa de Roma at 5pm for dinner. That means we can have a lazy morning and spend time in the villa Christmas morning. Does anyone know if you can book meal online or do you have to phone up to book?

I emailed Gaylord palms a couple of days ago and asked about the christmas day brunch, they replied very promptly telling me that bookings could me made from 25th October, so I guess dinner will probably be the same, but I would email them now and ask .:goodvibes

Well I have made my decision about Christmas day!:yay::yay:

We, thats me(45), DH(41), DS(16), DD(14) and my Mum(68) are going to book 'ICE' at Gaylord Palms about 12pm, then have the buffet brunch in the Villa de Flora restaurant (at Gaylord), then head over to DTD for the 6pm Cirque de Soleil. Very excited!:cool1::cool1::cool1:
Thanks for all your suggestions, and Tracy (castanea1985) thanks for the photos of ICE and the hotel they definitely helped with the decision.:goodvibes

Citricos looks great, thinking of trying to make adr's for that :goodvibes ICE looks lovely as well, wonderful theming! Still trying to make up my mind though, i'm very indecisive :rotfl:

Loobyloo44, glad you got your bookings made! Congrats :thumbsup2

Thankyou everyone for the lovely pics and the great ideas for my family's first ever christmas in Florida, much appreciated, and if anyone else has any other ideas then i'd be glad to hear them :)

Thanks Audrey, Cirque de Soleil is booked but although I have decided on ICE and lunch at Gaylord I can't book lunch until 25 oct so there is still room for a bit of indecision! :rotfl:

Good luck making your decisions!:goodvibes

Hi Louise :goodvibes

I'd hate to book a rest and then fins something we'd rather do later but, on the other hand, i don't want to wait too long and miss out either :rotfl:

What am i like? :lmao: Celebration is still on my short list as well as Citricos (possibly christmas eve) and Gaylord Palms for christmas day lunch or maybe Raglan Road (if they are doing anything special) in DTD :goodvibes

Decisions...decisions....decisions...:rolleyes1 It's a hard life eh? :lmao:

I think its that 'Mum' thing of wanting everything to be perfect and feeling responsible for organising Christmas!
