We are heading down this year at Christmas for the first time. We plan not to go to the parks Christmas day as we are meeting family in Sarasota. We would like to have a nice breakfast before we leave though and I'm wondering if anyone has had any table service breakfasts on Christmas Day.

We are staying at Wilderness Lodge so I'm hoping Whispering Canyon will be open.

Thank you. I was hoping that but wasn't sure if potential reduced staffing in the morning due to Christmas caused some to be not open like they usually would be.

Wilderness Lodge is wonderful during Christmastime. I think it's my favorite resort to visit.

Honestly, if you're leaving Disney, I'd just book breakfast at Whispering Canyon. You're gonna wanna get on the road. I think WC would be a great option. Eat some breakfast, enjoy some laughs with your family, take in the gorgeous lobby and then get on the road.

If you have any questions about Xmas, feel free to PM me. I've been to Disney 12/24-1/1 the past 7/8 years.

If you keep on going back at Xmas, it can't be as bad as everyone says right lol.

We have been going to Disney for years around 25 but I have never done xmas,so finally bit the bullet and booked,
However were offsite for most of it, ( unless I earn more money ) as we're a family of 6 this trip as my mum wants to come. So we had to either get to rooms or a condo, and we went with the condo as we pay for it all!
I'm really looking forward to it, but so worried that being offsite is going to ruin it and we won't get Fast passes at 30days out for what we want.

Being off-site won't ruin your trip. Your trip is what you make of it. You could put my family in a cage to sleep and we'll still find a way to enjoy and make the most of it. With that said, I will say we enjoy Deluxe. We got our first "taste" of it last year and LOVED it. We stayed BC and being so close to EPCOT was a real treat.

Honestly, your planning will need to be tailored a bit, but you can certainly pull it off. You're going to have to be on the ball with your ADRs and have backups planned for FP+. The only park that will see a phased closure will be MK. MAYBE AK, given the new Pandora, but it's such a behemoth of a park that I can't see the park itself closing, just the land.

You're gonna wanna get out of the parks for a while and take a break, especially if it's as hot as it was last year. At MK, Contempo, Wilderness Lodge, and GF are all wonderfully decorated. You can easily go there and spend a few hours touring the decorations. GF often has an orchestra playing and it's soothing to just sit down, listen and enjoy the view of MK.

At EPCOT, head over to BC, YC, BW and Swan and Dolphin.

Make sure you do Disney Springs during the week. During the weekend it gets CRAZY busy. Remember, this is geared toward locals so everyone heads there on a Saturday/Sunday. Despite it being (mostly) open, there are still some walls that lead to a bunch of pedestrian traffic (and traffic in general)... but i'd totally recommend going to DS. We have a yearly tradition of going and getting the free peppermint bark chocolates at Ghiradelli.

Thanks,
I totally get what you mean about deluxe, we have stayed deluxe the last 10yrs which is why this trip will be so hard, being offsite.
We're back at Ak next year though,
But when there is 6 it's just so expensive.
We would normally stay at Ssr as a 6 with free Ddp from UK, but as it's xmas they don't do it.
