Don't look too closely at those appliques! I did NOT take my time and there are definitely a few puckers, but they're done and wearable and I'm not redoing them!

I finished all four of the Epcot Mickey shirts last night and the boys Comic Strip Mickey Easy Fits!!! Plus I started cutting some more appliques I need to do.

I finished sewing the last two items for me that I'll be making for this trip!

Mickey Inspired Capris

and Figment Inspired Skirt (pictured with my fabulous Figment bag made by SerendipiD~ )

I still have to pack, and clean out the car, and pick up a few last minute things, and get the boys quilt squares ready for autographs, and clean up the house!!!
But by this time tomorrow we'll be halfway to Disney!!!!

Do you check into WDW today? Or are you planning to stay somewhere else tonight and arrive at Disney tomorrow morning? I guess I missed that part.

Awww... I just love these. I really want to make myself a pair for our trip (Donald style, of course... Hmmm... I have all these blue squares of fabric....) And I just LOVE how you edged the bottom in that HUGE ric-rac... I am desperate to find some of that! Soooo adorable!

I need to figure out this online check in - but we're big "drive through the night and then power through til an afternoon nap on our first day" type people. The plan for today is for DH to help me get stuff ready and he's in charge of getting the car an oil change and cleaned out and then he'll sleep this afternoon until the Gator game comes on at 7ish. We'll eat dinner during the game and I'll get the kids cleaned up and into jammies so that when the game is over we'll hop in the car and hit the road. I'll sleep in the car (it's better that way, then I can't comment on DH's driving ) and we pretty much just stop for gas and bathroom breaks (which aren't as often as you would think since the boys sleep almost the entire way ) - we'll stop someplace just outside of Disney to change and brush teeth. Our plan is to get to CBR around 7-7:30am and start the check in process. We're not too concerned that they probably won't have our room ready - we can leave our luggage with them. We really just want our tickets and dining activated so we can head to the MK and get there in time for our Crystal Palace ressie at 9:15.
We plan on eating breakfast and doing some of our favorite MK things and probably trying to see as many characters as we can for autographs . . . my parents' flight gets in around 3, so we'll head back to CBR around then and get settled in and wait for Mimi & Papa to arrive!!!
Mimi & I will head to the store after a while and pick up a few things while the guys all nap and hang out at the resort. Dinner at Ohana isn't until 8pm so we'll have plenty of time to recuperate before then

You definitely should make a Donald skirt or capris!!! So cute! Did you want the blue or yellow giant ric rac? Our Hobby Lobby has it for $2.99 a roll and it's often on sale

I will definitely post pictures (if not here, definitely on facebook - but I am taking my computer, so I'll post here as much as I can) and I will send you some updates

Thanks! I am 99% sure a pair of capris you made early on in my disboutiquer days inspired mine If it wasn't you, my brain owes credit to someone else, as whenever I worked on them I was thanking you in my head for the inspiration!!!

Thanks for the well wishes! We're already south of Columbia, SC and moving right along! I spent the first part of the drive taping the seam allowances of the boys' quilt squares for autographs. I'm so thankful the Bestue came over tonight to help me pack - I think we'd still be at the house packing if she hadn't! She also help me cut all the quilt squares and she ironed on te freezer

So yes, I was taping the seam allowances (blue tape for Finn's and green for Phalen) and putting them in their own baggies (each boy has a separate
ziploc of squares) ... Now I'm going to try to get some shut eye.

Oh! Totally forgot! I got my Mickey shoes painted!! And my Epcot flag Mickey head jeans done AND, thanks to D~'s suggestion I sewed my pirate camp easy fits during the 4th quarter of the Florida v Florida State game go check out her PTR for te story ;-)

Ok Marianne, that's it... I believe every girl should have a hand crank machine. I know I told you this yesterday, but you could have been sewing the rest of your customs on the drive down. And just think about it - with all those quilt squares you brought with - you could easily have those quilts finished on the way home. I think I need to start stalking the CL in your area to get you a good hand crank machine... it really is the wave of the future - a true portable.

D~ is Can you seriously imagine passing a car on the right and seeing the passenger sewing away... After all, if we can take phones with us everywhere - why can't we bring our sewing machines too???
