I always try to have the Christmas Card ready to print by Thanksgiving. (To get the Sam's special.) This year I am out of ideas for a photo of my 3 boys. :headache: I thought it might be fun to share ideas we have done in the past. I have:
Kids in chef's hats and monogramed aprons next to the gingerbread house. "Home for the Holidays"
Kids in pj's fake sleeping in the bed "May all your dreams come true."
Wrote "Merry Christmas" in flour on the table with cookies every where.
Each kid held a large "Ho" that they had painted to spell out "Ho Ho Ho" (DH had some great captions for that one. :rotfl2:

Would love to hear what y'all have done.

My son is only 2 1/2 but his first Xmas I dressed him like an elf and scattered a bunch of tools around him.

Last year I dressed him in several pairs of Xmas jammies and did several pics on the long skinny card.

This year, the idea's aren't the problem, it's getting the darn kid to cooperate!! He's super into space so I'm trying to get pictures with his space toys with the caption "Hope your holidays are out of this world."

Unfortunately, most of the pictures he lets me take are of the back of his head.

One of my favorites we did was to have the kids in Christmas jammies, sitting together on the couch, with the oldest holding a large copy of Twas the Night Before Christmas. Both kids were looking at the book and it looked like he was reading it. Very cute!

Ohhh...I Like this one!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Brought them to Sears this past weekend but hated the pictures.

One year we photographed each DD in their sports attire - one DD was a cheerleader, a ballerina and an ice skater. It's one of my favorite Christmas cards so far. Another idea is to use their Halloween costume photo.

One of the best cards I got last year was from my friend who has 5 kids (two sets of twins) and they were all dressed up and wrestling on the couch...I have a feeling she was taking a million pictures and they were getting restless and she just went with that shot

the caption read...

"All is calm, all is bright..."

It was just so funny and really captured the spirit of her family!

Here is a webstie with some cute ideas:

What's the Sam's special?

Over the Thanksgiving holidays you can get 100 photo cards and envelopes for $15.

Thanks for all the great ideas! I like the musical suggestions. Since the boys are all playing instruments this year I thought about having one at the piano, one on his drums or bells and one with his french horn. (Should DH and I be there with ear plugs on?) :rotfl:

"Silent night.....

Yeah, right!"

One idea that my cousin used a few years ago was she took a B&W picture of her 4 kids laying on the ground with the heads together. She took the picture from above. It came out so good.:goodvibes I only have one kis so that one won't work for me but I did do one this summer of her with her BFF at the beach. I had them lay in the sand with the heads touching. It came out great! They felt funny laying like that in the sand but it was worth it!

I haven't decided what to do with DD11 this year. I am thinking about doing a collage one with different photos taken during the year. I know they'll be a few from DLR and WDW in there!

Happy Holidays all!
