I always make the mockGirl scouts thin mints



Ritz crackers dipped in Andes candy(i just buy the packages when the come out at xmas)

I just melt the andes in mico in pirex and dip
Sooo easy!

Ive tried Regular choc chips with the peppermint oil.
Andes is easier, less expensive and taste better

We do the pretzel thing with rollos and as soon as they come out of the oven, press a pecan on the top.

245 degrees for 8 minutes works for us. They set up fine when cool.

Rice krispy treat made red or green with christmas sprinkles
ritz crackers layer with peanut butter and dipped in chocolate.
Doctor up brownie mix with c-chips and nuts

Maybe a few non sweet items- we love chex mix (all varieties are on the web site)

Peanut butter balls:

2 c peanut butter
2 c powdered sugar
2 c graham cracker crumbs

mix all together and dip in milk chocolate.

Really easy (although messy) to make and you get about 6 dozen. They're SO good too.

How about making those pretzel rods dipped in colored chocolate and topped with sprinkles?

Another idea: one of my mom friends gave all the kids popcorn, drizzled with colored chocolate stuff and mixed with m&ms, in a cute holiday bag with a bow on it, it was very cute.

The Chex cereal website has a bunch of different chex mix recipes. Some of them are really good. I think I made 6 different flavors last year.

I have to say that I have made the Oreo Truffles, pretzel/hershey kiss/m&m things and the Saltine crackers with melted chocolate on top (comes out like a "bark type treat" and all three are FANTASTIC!!!!!

But that mock Girl Scout Thin Mint is SOOOOO going into my recipe book this year. THAT sounds so easy and so good.

My daughter and I make these every year for her classroom.

Chocolate Mice

1 jar pitted marachino cheeries with stems
1 bag hershey's kisses (plain chocolate ones work best)
sliced almonds
decorating icing for nose and eyes
tin foil

Cover cookie sheet with tin-foil. Rinse and drain cherries. Pat dry with paper towels.

Unwrap 2 Hershey Kisses for every mouse you plan to make. Place 1/2 in bowl, and melt them with a dutch oven, or in the microwave

Holding the cherry by the stem, roll into chocolate, fully coating. This will become the body.
Push a Hershey kiss on the front of the cherry to make the head. Place on cookie sheet. The melted chocolate should hold the kiss onto the body.

Place 2 almond slices onto the mouse between the Hershey kiss and the cherry to make the ears.
We usually do them 6 at a time to make sure the chocolate doesn't harden too much to hold the almonds in place.

Make eyes and the nose with the icing. Place in fridge until chocolate hardens. Carefully removed from tin-foil and serve either on a cookie, or use holiday themed cup cake cups.

One year I had a little extra time and I made the white almond bark dipped pretzel rods, bought a bag of the green chocolate and red chocolate wafers and drizzled over the white. Bought small celo bags that were long and skinny that fit 2 pretzels perfect and bought twist ties on Ebay that were metallic green or red. Put 2 pretzels in the bag, used the twist tie and took the ends of the twist ties and sort of wrapped around a pencil for shape. Everyone ranted and raved for days. They really looked fancy, but were really inexpensive

Do candy coated popcorn & people will think you are a Goddess! 1 popped bag of micro popcorn (use Butter, not extra butter) and melt 1/2 pkg of white almond bark. Pour the candy over the popcorn while it's still warm. Gently stir to coat popcorn. Sprinkle with colored (red or green sugar for Christmas) if desired. Spread out on waxed paper. Cool & break it apart. Yummy! I tired the milk chocolate almond bark once but it is not as pretty. Looks like you really skimped on the candy. Put in little cellophane bags from the Dollar Tree & tada! Everyone thinks you're great!
