Cast of characters (just to refresh) me, 41, lover of Disney, great planner, addicted to the DIS boards for many years!
DH- 42, converted lover of Disney, does not ask "why" are we going back, just "When". DS, 17, lover of Disney and all things funny, great sense of humor, identifies with WDW commercial where parents don't bring adult child with them. DD- 12- would live in WDW if we let her!
So, Mickey wakes us up at 6:22 and we are off to the opening of MK for Christmas Day. My family knew this was my only wish for this trip. To actually be on Main Street Christmas morning. We arrive at 7:30 and decide to take the monorail. After jockeying between the resort and direct monorail we FINALLY arrive at MK as the opening ceremony is going on. I am smiling ear to ear. I CANNOT BELIEVE I AM IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM ON CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We ride Pooh first thing (walk on) then over to Peter Pan (walk on) on to HM (walk on) then BTMRR (walk on ) Noone is on Splash Mountain (chilly this morning, no one would "splash with me") Off to POC (walk on) WHERE IS EVERYBODY???? We then decide Buzz and SM would be our next choice. OHHHHHHHHHHH this is where everyone is!!! Grab FP for Buzz and get on line for SM (20 min). We then do Buzz and People Mover and decide it is time to "Get out of Dodge". We head back to YC to open presents (we all fall asleep for 1 hr) We wake up at noon refreshed, open gifts and off to Disney Quest. We had a great time here for about 3 1/2 hrs. We then went back to the hotel. The kids swam in SAB and DH and I went to the spas with a couple of cocktails. We had 7:10 PS for Ohana's. Boy was this place packed. We were seated around 7:35 and enjoyed our meal TREMENDOUSLY! Oh those shrimp wontons! Oh that salad. Oh that pineapple and carmel. Sufficiently stuffed once again, off to PI for a night of Comedy at the Comedy Club and Adventurer's Club. Kungaloosh!!!
We returned home around 1am. Promised the kids Mickey wouldn't call in the morning. We will sleep in! Merry Christmas!
