Cast of characters (go to Day three)

We wake up around 8:30 (you can always hear the horn from the boat going to MGM from YC). Have a quick breakfast of coffee (in-room request, brought my own Maxwell House coffee in filters (2.99 at Shop Rite - around 4.00 in gift shop- no big savings-just wasn't sure they'd have them) muffins and bagels purchased at Goodings.

We got to Animal Kingdom around 10 and decided to look around the Lodge. What an inspiring resort! My kids loved it! Both of them said "Next time can we stay here?" I of course lol said "No, just your father and I are going next time, and WE will stay here" Everyone agreed the location was off the beaten path but would love to stay there ONLY if we had a Savannah view room with the animals RIGHT THERE. I said, well when we go on the cruise next year perhaps will do land/sea and stay here. You had to see there faces!!!(I really think we're going to do the seven day in April, I just like to mess with them.) Anyway.... Off to AK we go!!! Go on safari with a 20 minute wait. Get fast pass for primeval whirl and then go on Dinosaur (20 minute wait) Off to see the Lion King Show (next to Hunchback, a family favorite) and then on to PW. Back to the hotel to pick up more sweatshirts (we are seeing Fantasmic this evening) We have 4pm PS's at Brown Derby (excellent Filet Mignon and I finally get my Appletini, R&C and Ohana were out of Apple!!!) We then go on Great Movie Ride (cowboy, front row, which was refreshing, last 6 trips we got the gangster, always love the comment about New Jersey!!!) It is now 6pm so we go over to Oscar's and walk...and walk...and walk (I don't remember the standby walk being this long) We get seats in Ursula (on the end toward the center) great seats!!! (We are spoiled, DS only likes to sit in Mickey, but now that the juggler, and plumber preshows are nonexistent, he "agreed" to the "lesser" seats, I just didn't want to wait on line!! And the house was PACKED!!!!!!!!). Enjoyed the show thoroughly. We have the CD, so the whole family knows all the cues.

We leave MGM and go to DD for some souvenier shopping for DS friends and girlfriend. We then head to the New Toy Store (Once Upon a Toy Store?) Love the Potato Head stuff, and the theme park stuff (someday we will set up WDW and California Adventure in a spare room (when DS goes to college next year) and they will finally cart me off to the looney bin.

Decide to try out MK. We have one tradition that has stood the test of time (8 yrs). Go on Jungle Cruise at night. Since this is our last night...here we go!!

Get to park just as 9pm fireworks go off. Take monorail over and walk against crowd to Adventureland. Hop on JC (no wait) and enjoy our "three hour tour". Next it's off to POC and then BTMR. Spectro is starting so we watch and walk our way through the shops of Main Street. Wait about 8 minutes for Monorail and ride with a dancer and her family (she was in the Night Before christmas show in tomorrowland's galaxy theater). She told my son he would be a perfect face character and that he should audition (he is a budding comedian, actor, director, and graphic artist, so this made his day!) Off the monorail and on to Dopey 103. A few minutes later, we are at "home" for our last night. DH and I decide to wash some sweatshirts so we find the laundry on the first floor (only one machine operable) Decided to stop for a drink at one of the bars but they were all closed (12:20, we were surprised) Oh well, we had champagne in the room, drank it on our Christmas lighted balcony and then off to sleep. Tomorrow is our last day!!

Forgot to mention, On Christmas morning we woke up to a gift bag of four "Nestle Wonderballs" and candy canes outside our door. Nice touch!

A very nice way to spend Christmas day - and the goodies at the door was a nice touch - thanks for posting!
