We are arriving at DL on Christmas Day, we have 6 days at the park, not counting Christmas day, our grandchildrens first trip. This was the only time we could go, because I cannot get off in the summer. I know it will be crowded, will we be able to see and do what we want in six days time? Thank you.

Yes, definitely. In my experience even at Christmas you can do everything in both parks in about 2.5 to 3 days. Maybe others will chime in with their opinions on that, but I'm sure everyone will agree you can certainly do everything in 6 days.

Definitely have a plan and a list of priorities.

I'd prioritize some things. See the night shows/parades and rides you look forward to the most first thing. Use FP if the rides have it. Make reservations for dining that you really want.

I agree you will be able to do everything you want to do in 6 days. I would plan a few days to be in the park when it opens. I would have a list of attractions and shows you want to see. I find it easier to stay in one area and do the attractions before moving on. It helps our group to not run from one side of the park to the other. With the amount of time you have, you will be able to sit, relax in the parks and take it all in. One of my favorite memories of the parks has been when we relaxed and people watched, taking it all in. Have a wonderful time.

Well, it depends on what that includes.

It will be very busy. You will just want to plan LOTS of extra time for everything. If you want to see a parade, allow extra time to hold a place. If you want to eat in a sit-down location, allow extra time to get in and out. If you want to shop, allow extra time to get through the stores, to get assistance, to check out. If you want to go on rides, allow extra time for waiting in line.

Can you have fun? Absolutely. Can you do everything you want? Again, it depends on what that involves, but if you make a list, plan, and use your 6 days to their fullest, you can get a lot done. 6 days is a lot of time.

And then make sure to plan time to sleep for days upon return from your vacation! :goodvibes

I would recommend a touring plan. Personally I love touringplans.com but there are others including Ridemax that many speak highly of.
Enjoy your trip!

Normally you could do the park in about 2.5 days, but around Xmas, it does take twice as long (but there's more to look at while you're waiting in lines and its more leisurely). My main recommendation would be to go early and take advantage of Magic Mornings if you're staying on property, and if not your ticket should come with at least one. During the holidays they occasionally reach maximum capacity midday and will not let people back into the park if you go out of the parks for lunch/dinner. (Though if that happens odds are good you'll be able to get into California Adventure and see some of the attractions over there.) The above posters' mentioned some of the apps you can get; the nice part about having crowds at a park is there's always someone updating the wait times!

Thank you for your replies. We are getting so excited. I have heard of Ridemax and researched them, but not the tours. com., I will check that one out also.
