Our family is going to WDW for the week of Christmas. Is MVMCP a must do, or can we see all of the special events during the day? Also, what are your favorite Disney Christmas traditions/activities? Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!

We will be in WDW for xmas again this year. We love touring all of the hotels and parks to see the decorations many of which are unique to WDW. ::MickeyMo

We love the different Christmas Storytellers in each of the different countries at the World Showcase in Epcot.::yes::

One of my favorite things about Christmas at WDW is when they make it "snow" on Main Street and project "snowflakes" onto the castle.:D IMHO,the best time of the year to be at WDW.:earsboy:

Will be at MK Mon. Dec. 21. How do I find out beforehand if it will "snow"on Main Street that day?

Any info. would be appreciated.

I'm so happy to hear that it snows on Main St. at times this week. Being a Floridian, that will be all the snow we get. ;)
I'd also love to know what time.

crbalb,
This will be our first time at WDW Christmas week also. I do know that the MVMCP will have ended by then. From what I've read the parade and Christmas shows will be part of the regular park entertainment that week. I'm hoping to see all the shows. We have been to MVMCP twice, and with the crowds, have been unable to see all the shows. Since we're only going for the Christmas activities, hopefully we'll be able to work them all in. I agree with the suggestion to see the storytellers in Epcot. This is our family's favorite holiday activity at WDW. Enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestions so far. We are really excited about this trip!! Any other ideas of must sees or dos?

Sorry to say that mvmcp last day in Dec will be Dec 17th acording to www.allearsnet.com . Just going around to the different resorts and seeing all the decorations is very cool also epcot is decked out
also check out the Osbourne family lights at Disneys Mgm something to see
also getting pictures with all the characters in their holiday finest makes for great future family christmas cards to send the next year

Christmas is our favorite time at disney world. GF gives out roasted chestnuts at the entrance and the lobby is beautiful. WL has a roaring fireplace and huge tree and sleigh rides!!30$ per group. You need ps'. Osborne lights is a must. the very merry christmas party and osborne are the only times I have seen it snow. They are both worth going out of your way to see. All the resorts have special christmas music. We absolutely LOVE the candlelight processional which really makes our Christmas. We'll be there for 10 days!!!We can't wait.:Pinkbounc

I arrived for my first Christmas at WDW on December 20,2003.I went to MK that night and after Wishes I was in a shop on Main Street.I looked out a window and it was SNOWING!:D It was so amazing. The temperature that night was about 36 degrees I believe,"snow" was falling, snowflake patterns were being projected onto the castle and Christmas decorations were everywhere. It was so wonderful.I may be wrong, but I am guessing they make it snow every night after the last MVMCP.I suggest going to Guest Services when you get to MK and inquire there. They should have the information there. It also "snows" at the end of the CP.You will really enjoy WDW during the Christmas season. There is a special excitement in the air.I am going December 11-19 and CAN'T WAIT!:earsboy:
