Christmas at Disney

First, if you are talking about 2006, you should book soon. It is low season but there are often groups there (Pop Warner, Cheerleading Comp. etc).

Make sure to bring clothes for a 40 degree or so difference just in case. When we have gone at that time, the temps have ranged from low 40's to high 70's. We even brought "magic gloves" (those stretchy, little ones) because they packed easily-- and we used them.

Make sure to visit the resorts to see the decorations-- each resort has its own special decoration made out of food (ie, a huge chocolate carousel), and they are really impressive.

Finally, have fun-- I am jealous! Not going until next Nov/Dec!

That is a great time to visit. The weekend after Thanksgiving is when the holiday decorations go up. It's beautiful.

We went to WDW the week before Xmas in 2004. It was beautiful, crowds were light. We made the mistake packing only Florida clothes and even threw our coats in the trunk at the airport thinking, "Hey we're goin' to Florida!"

It got down in the 50's, which is t-shirt weather in Colorado, but parka weather in Florida.

Also --make sure you have all your holiday tasks done before you go! We flew back in on Christmas eve, flight was delayed a few hours and alll the grocery stores were closed by the time we got home. Christmas dinner wasn't as it normally was-- We were stuck with what was in the freezer and pantry!

We went the day after Christmas a while back. The christmas parade is really neat. I love how the wooden soldiers actually play their horns!
