Christmas 2010 - Fishing late Feb/ Early March

Ah the smell of Mickey and friends only a year away… has anybody else made reservations? I got 3 weeks booked and those who we thought would join us are starting to drop like flys. Can I really pull three weeks at FW?

BTW - has anybody fished late Feb. Early March?

We will be there from 12/21 - 12/29 next year. Can't wait for it to get here, it will be our first Christmas at the Fort, and at WDW for that matter!! We are all very excited. We're trying to convince my parents to fly down and meet us there, and to bring my wifes grandmother with them. I think it would be extra magical to spend Christmas at the Fort with 4 generations of family together! We shall see, keeping our fingers crossed

I'm new to the board. I want to make reservations for next Christmas at Ft. Wilderness. Do I have to go thorough the regular Disney site? I tried it earlier and I wasn't certain it would put me in the pet loop. I've never camped in FW, but I'm looking forward to it.

First off, how many people are going? if you are 8 or more you will want to call and talk to the "grand party gathering" folks they handle larger parties and the wait time is not nearly as bad. We had another couple go down with us last year and I made all the resrevations.

If it is just your family, then the regular # number will work. When you speak with the agent, ask them AKA request a Pet loop. If there is a specific loop as for that one specifically.

Your at the right place to read about disney camping, try the search function for "Pet loop" and I will think you will find some info, other wise feel free to post.

The 300 and 500 loops are for pets. We have our reservations already in place for December 14, 2010 to January 4, 2011. Already ordering more Christmas decorations/blow ups. Have at least 21 already along with various other decorations. Merry Christmas from FW. We will be here til January 3, 2010.

12/24/2010. Looking forward to sharing it this year with our grand daughters,

Looks like no one answered your fish question. I have fished early March, remember, it's fishing, soooo,,, but yes I have good catches in early March. I dont know about Feb, tho.

I would love to spend a life time at FW and could easily do 3 weeks! We have reservations for 12/21-12/30. Our first Christmas trip was in 2008...we spent this Christmas in Red River, New Mexico.

You will have a wonderful time.

It looks like a lot of people have booked already. I tried to book a full hook-up site from 12/25 -1/1 and the is no availability. I am hoping some one cancels. I will keep trying. No preferred or premium site either.

We'll be at Wilderness Lodge DVC March 3-10. Our daughter is running in the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon
