Ok so I realize it is over a year away. But I am trying to plan the best Christmas prestent ever for my kids. In the spring of 2008 I will be entering the nursing program so for the next few years after that things will be a little tight, well maybe not tight but i will be on a strict budget.
I want to give them like the 6 days of Christmas, present #1 would be Disney for Christmas, present #2 would be MVMCP tickets, and then just little things, $20 a day each with a pin or Christmas ornament and then on Christmas day, I would have each 3 or 4 presents, nothing to big since the trip would be the big present. I thought like a Disney sweatshirt/t-shirt, game boy or PSP game, then something. Of course their stockings, with goodys from Goofys. Maybe tickets to DQ.
But how would i get a small table top like Christmas tree in there? or even there?

What have any of you guys done for Christmas at WDW?
I would love any suggestions or ideas or how you did it.
Thanks

My DW and I have been at DW the last 3 Christmas seasons, we pack a few strings of mini lights, a table top Christmas tree, and buy ornaments at the Parks to put on the tree. We love to decorate the room windows, pictures, ect. to make it look as festive as possible !! As you walk thru some of the resorts you see rooms decorated to the max... it looks really beautiful.

On checkout day we leave all the decorations, with the exception of the ornaments, for the mousekeeper.

Christmas at Disney, the 2 just go together !! :santa:

We are going for Christmas 2007 also! I am trying to make as special for my kids as well. They will be 17 and 20 when we go. We are staying 10 nights at all star movies. We are thinking about the Christmas Party.

Maybe i will see you there!
My kids will be 7 & 11. It will be just me and them. My DBF spends the holidays with his family. But I am excited to get some alone time with my kids.
I thought about shipping a tree down and then buying ornaments in the parks and DTD.

Hey maybe I will see you down there, its just the kids and I also. We have been before at Christmas, its fun. One year, "Santa" came to the hotel room. Another time, we stayed through New Years, went to magic kingdom for new year's eve and they passed out noise makers and hats all through out the day, don't know if they do that anymore, but it was fun. Christmas is my favorite time to go.

I am going to get some Christmas window clings for the window in our room. I know that I want to go to all the hotels and see the decorations.

So far my plans are, 10 nights at all star movies, flying down and using magic express, I would like to do the Christmas party, we we have never done that.

What are your plans so far?

FYI My son is Jordan also.

So far my plans have changed twice this week. I saw that the last day of the MVMCP is the Dec. 21 next year so I will need to leave a day earlier.
So we will leave on the 19 and return on the 29. I am trying to decide on POP or all star movies or sports. In two weeks I am booking my trip. But since there dad and broke up Christmas has pretty much been sucky, the first year we didnt even have the tree up, i bought a real tree to plant out side. This is the first year they have been pretty excited about Christmas since their dad moved out. So next Christmas will be even better and they will get to miss a few days of school. I thougth about leaving on the 17 or 18 to get the pre-holiday price but i am not sure yet, it would save a few hundred dollars.
I thought about the window clings and i am in search of a nice little tree that i could send down there or in an empty ready to be filled with goodys suitcase :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1:

I have to book soon too, I want All Star Movies, we have never stayed there. I too want to go to the party, so I will try and book so that we get to attend that. My son is home from college that whole month, and depending on when school vacation is, we will plan accordingly, I will probably take my youngest out of school for a couple of days, I drive a bus for his school , so I will take a couple of days off, if it means we can go to the party.

Is it possible to get an inflatable christmas tree :goodvibes

That is a good idea. There must be one around someplace. Sometimes they sell very small ones, that kind of just fold up.
