Any DVC members looked into this cruise? Just wondering how many points are required, for say a cat. 6/7 for 4 people. Any info will be helpful.:jester:

We are DVC members booked for the cruise but with a cash reservation. I don't believe they are taking point reservations at this time (that is usually done 11 months out). I would say if you are interested check out the cash pricing, put down your down payment now (the price will most likely only go up not down) and then switch to points when they become available.

There is some speciulation that this cruise may not be available on points. If it is, it may be one of the better values on points mostly due to the lack of other discounts. I'd agree if you're set on this cruise, do a cash reservation. You can always cancel it later. Otherwise it's just waiting until next Jan to see it it's available on points. You may be able to find out if it's going to be available and what the points are sooner than Jan but it's also possible it won't be known what the points costs will be until the 2005 points tables come out which is usually in March. If that happens you might be able to book it blindly in Jan.

If it were I, I'd book for cash then see what happens with the points when and if that options materializes. Remember, you can't just swap over the reservation, you'd be making a new reservation and getting a new cabin which might be a less desireable cabin since they will be picked over by then.

Thanks for the replies. Do we know for sure that this trip is actually going to happen?
I don't mean to sound naive, but there is nothing to indicate that this is an actual trip on Disney Cruise Line website.
Any thoughts?
