Hi Everyone! I have been lurking on this board for the past year and a half while I planned my Disney wedding. I am kind of shy, so I didn't post too much, but I always enjoyed reading about everyone else's weddings and seeing pictures.

Well, now that my wedding has come and gone, I thought I would share my pictures for those of you planning your weddings. :cloud9:

Overall, the day was absolutely perfect. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the wonderful people at disney, and all of our vendors. We used Disney for all of the services that they offered, and we are glad that we did.

Officiant: Rev. Jack Day- A+- we really enjoyed working with him. He couldn't make our rehearsal, but he insisted on fitting us in at some other point during the day, so we still got to meet him prior to the ceremony. He was wonderful, and his ceremony was just what we wanted. We felt very comfortable with him.

Hair/Make-Up: Lisa Penna- A+--of course, anyone who gets up at 2:30 a.m. to come do my make up deserves an A+. :bitelip: She really was great though- she was the friendliest lady. I really didn't know what I wanted with my hair, and I told her to use her judgement, and I love what she did. Also, due to the stress, I ended up with the worst break out of my life three days before the wedding, and it was at its worst on my wedding day. She was a miracle worker, and you could barely tell I had any blemishes. Even though she covered everything up, I still looked very natural, and the make up was not too heavy. All of my bridesmaids loved their hair as well!

Floral: A+--I normally don't even like flowers, but I LOVED my bouquet. I used Disney Floral for everything. I couldn't stop staring at my bouquet because I thought it was so pretty. I described what I wanted, and everything exceeded expectations. Floral did a lot of the decorations on my cake as well, and I was blown away by that. I was just amazed.

Photography: A+--We got our pictures back today- I love them. After reading a lot on this board, I was regretting not using Randy Chapman, but now that my pictures are back, I am so happy that we went with Disney- I didn't even realize that they got half of the shots that they did. I loved them!

Food: A+--Dinner at Boardwalk- chicken and steak was the best I have ever had.

Cake: A+--Unfortunately, Chris and I didn't even get a piece of our cake. We were so busy that we never got to it. We did feed each other the piece during the cake cutting, but I think we were so nervous/thinking about pictures and our audience that neither of us really "tasted" it. Everyone else raved about it though, and all of the cake was gone by the time we left! So, just a reminder to make sure that you get a piece of your cake! :-)

Dress steaming/Tuxes: A+--They were wonderful. They came and had all of the guys try on their tuxes the day before the wedding- it was so easy and convenient. It took about 1/2 hour and then we all had breakfast together. Anyone who needed any new sizes had them waiting for them the next morning. We loved them! They also steamed our dresses the day of the wedding- I can't imagine not having them!

Coordinator: Maxine Pollakis: A+-- I am not sure if we can mention names here, but we absolutely loved her- she was great!

DJ: A+--I unfortunately can't remember his last name, but his first name was Chris, and he was provided by Disney. He was fantastic. He played all of our songs, and he really kept the party going. Loved him!

I hope I am not forgetting anything. It was the best experience of my life! Good luck to all of you guys planning your big days! Disney is the best, and they will take care of you! :)

Anyways, I don't think I can post websites yet, since I haven't posted on here enough, but you can go to the general Disney photo website at ( I think) :

our user name is "Walker / Rysak wedding"

Thanks for all of your help during the planning process!!!

those photos are beautiful. You looked absolutely stunning, and so happy!! Congratulations and may you both be forever blessed in happiness.

I do have a question.. I would love to hear what you and one of your girls were doing on the chairs..lol.

Thank you so much Maggimus- your wedding looks fabulous too! I really have so much fun reading about everyone else's and seeing pictures. My husband thinks I am absolutely insane and obsessed. I told him I would stop once the wedding was over, but now I just don't think I can quit cold turkey like that!

HAHAHA! I forgot about that. That is my roommate from college, and when we were in college, we choreographed a routine to Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light." All through college, whenever we had parties or get togethers, we made all of our friends watch our performance. We got the biggest kick out of doing it, and we always were so excited for our weddings so that we could do it at a wedding. Well, we discussed it with the DJ and he was going to play it at 10:10, however, he did not inform us that he was going to clear the dance floor and announce us. I was a little self conscious with 100 people watching us, but it ended up being fun! When we were in school, we always did it on chairs, and our friends insisted we break out the chairs at the wedding too. I thought my parents were going to disown me, but the surprisingly enjoyed it too! :-)

We were out performed about 20 minutes later when CHris was called up to do "I'm a Little Teapot." He went out with the boys the night before at Jelly Rolls, and they had him do a "s*xy" teapot dance there. Someone told the DJ at the wedding, and he played it for Chris at the wedding. Unfortunately, the photographers had just left, so we don't have pictures of it! Chris's dance to it was probably the highlight of the reception for me. Once I have enough posts, I will post the video link that we have on youtube of that- it was hilarious!

Your pictures are so beautiful and everything looked wonderful. I am having my reception at the Boardwalk and it was great to see the ballrooms in action. I am looking forward to the video!

Absolutely stunning! It makes me want to get married at Christmastime - what beautiful colors!

Those pictures are gorgeous! I love the shots at MK with all the Christmas decorations. They did a great job.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments! :)

autumnbride02- You will love having your reception at the Boardwalk! Chris and I keep saying how glad we are we had it there! It is such a great resort, and everyone loved it. There are lots of great things to do after the wedding there too with jelly rolls and atlantic dance hall! A lot of our guests hung out there afterwards!

The Boardwalk is really nice, and they made it look so lovely for you all!! I cant get enough of your Christmas decorations-- memories to last a lifetime!! :cloud9:

congratulations! thanks for sharing your gorgeous pics...I especially love the MK ones...(secretly jealous b/c we weren't able to do it...lol)...just beautiful! :thumbsup2

congrats again! :goodvibes

What an absolutely lovely wedding!!! You were a beautiful bride and your wedding looked magical! Congrats! Just curious, are you a Theta? Looked like your friends were making a kite in one of your photos. Congrats again and Happy New Year!

Thanks again everyone for all of your nice comments! I did love the Christmas decorations- the floral team did a great job making it extra Christmas-y!

Angel*Lady- I am a theta!! I forgot about the kite picture- those were my theta friends from college! Can I assume that you are a theta too?!!! :-)

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!! :-)

Yes! I'm a Theta too! (From the dark ages - I was initiated in the 70's!) I am a Beta Lambda. I remember when I was in college hearing "Theta for a Lifetime" but not really understanding it completely. All these years later, my closest friends are my Theta sisters from college and I have made wonderful Theta friends that span the generations through my involvement with the Jacksonville FL alumini chapter. Pretty cool! Glad to see a fellow Theta on the DIS boards!:cheer2:

Thank you for sharing! We had Rev. Jack and Disney floral and Disney photography too and like you I was thrilled with all of them! Disney photo did a spectacular job for our wedding. Back when we were planning I didn't know there were other options (didn't find the DIS until after the wedding) but I'm glad I didn't because I loved everything Disney did for us!

I LOVE the picture of you peaking out from the Bride's Vestibule (with the bridesmaid walking down the aisle). The getting ready pictures, all the Christmas decor (how cute was it to have Mickey and Minnie in Christmas outfits!), the cake, your gown in the MK shoot, everything was simply gorgeous :goodvibes Congratulations!!
