Choosing a moderate resort

Which moderate is your favorite? Which one is the quietest? TIA for your responses.

My fave is POFQ. Over the years I've stayed at all 4 of the moderates and never found any of them to be noisy.

POFQ is the smallest, and all buildings are a short walk to the main building and the busses/boat to DS. The other 3 are much larger. CBR will have the Skyliner transport to HS & EP soon.

I suggest choosing the one that appeals to you most...enjoy!

I agree with the PP. We absolutely love POFQ. It’s small, the theming is quaint, and you have the boat to DS. You can also use the pools at POR which is nice for a change of scenery.

The only one we’ve stayed at is POR, we really liked it. We’re trying CSR in a couple of weeks- staying in the new GDT. Can’t wait. It’s the only mod with a gym if you like that sort of thing, and the Tower has a club level too. Pictures look amazing.

We’ve only done PoR and POFQ. We are going back to POFQ this trip. Small and quiet. Lovely.

I have only stayed at Caribbean Beach (pre renovation 2003) but in 2021 we want to stay at POR. Pop Century this year. POR just looks like our type of place.

Yet another vote for French Quarter its small, the longest walk you will have is about 7 minutes from the bus stop and it may not sound like a lot but after a long day in the parks hauling little ones around that shorter walk is a blessing. You have a boat to Disney Springs and only 1 bus stop. That one bus stop makes things a lot easier. I like POR but those bus stops UGGG.

Another who's stayed at POR and FQ, with FQ being my favorite. It was absolutely lovely for a January trip. I have one night booked in Aug for Gran Destino, so we'll see if my opinion changes!

Echoing as others have said above. Port Orleans French Quarter is the definite winner as it is much smaller than the other moderates, thus making it less crowded and quieter. I have stayed in literally the very last room on Caribbean Beach property before and I won't do that again without getting a Preferred location room. It's just way too big.

POFQ is my favourite, but all my stays at varying resorts have been quiet.

I've stayed preferred in POR (I love alligator bayou). I've stayed at POFQ, which is nice and compact.


We're changing it up and staying at Caribbean Beach next year.

It really depends on your preferred theme, Port Orleans is nice and tight while Carribean is large and beachy. Don’t leave out Art of Animation either.

Also depends on timing because the new overhead gondola “Skyliner” will be running from Carribean & Art.

Coronado Springs is spectacular! Port Orleans French Quarter is very quaint. As far as quiet goes.....any resort is only as quiet as the people in the adjoining room! ...or running up and down the hallways....or at the pool....

POFQ, for sure. Like POR as well-but you have access to a lot of those benefits (great food options, pools, etc) at POFQ too (it's a short walk).

Yes, especially really excited kids that checks in around midnight and is running up and down the hallway shouting while you're trying to sleep

I have always said..POFQ is WDW best not only Moderate resort but the best resort. We also love the Alligator Bayou section of POR. Those are the only places we stay unless we go Value. Then its Music or POP.
POFQ just is really perfect.
