Which character breakfast has the best character interaction? My boys are 5 and 7.

If you are looking to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy, my vote is for Chef Mickeys! Great character interaction and good buffet too.

Which characters do they like the most?

Crystal palace is pooh and friends in MK

Chef mickey's is mickey and friends, Contemporary

Tusker house has Donald etc Animal Kingdom.

Stich and co at Ohana at the Poly

Princess one in norway in world showcase

Cindy etc at MK in the castle.
If not breakfast most people rave about how great the character interaction is at garden grill in EPCOT. Chip and Dale are the big hit here.

My kids loved Chef Mickey's, first when they were 7 and 10 and even last year when they were 10 and 13. (DD13's face was priceless waiting to get a pic with Mickey and Minnie...so much for being 'all grown up!') We have an unexpected trip coming up in January, and I'm researching to see if there's a different character breakfast we should try instead for a change of pace, but I keep coming back to Chef Mickey's!

My suggestion would be Tusker House. We have eaten breakfast at both Chef Mickeys and Tusker House and enjoy the Tusker House better, hands down. The food taste better and you have a larger variety at Tusker House. The characters spend much more time with the kids at Tusker House too. You don't have that crazy, hectic rushed feeling like you do at Chef Mickey's.

My boys are younger but they enjoyed Ohana breakfast. Stitch is a lot of fun and plays around with the kids. I like it because it's served family style so I don't have to make buffet runs for food.

I am considering Garden Grill for our trip in January. I know this one is a dinner but I've heard Chip and Dale are cute and again it's served family style. :thumbsup2

I'd say Cape May, Tusker House or Ohana. I would avoid Chef Mickey's at all cost...horrible food, dirty restaurant, bad service, rushed characters...it's just BAD!

I have not eaten at Chef Mickeys or Tusker House (plan on Tusker this trip), but Ohana and Cape May have been our top 2 favorite breakfasts. The character interaction at both places was great and never felt rushed. We were able to see the characters twice at Cape May.

We love Tusker House. It is our must do character experience, and we do it every trip!

I enjoyed the food better at Tusker House and Chef Mickeys (about the same). I think both are great fun choices... It is buffet style

At Ohana we got a great view of Magic Kingdom castle while we ate. It is family style...

Never been to Crystal palace but i think your boys would enjoy Chef Mickey's or Tusker house better...

One suggestion... BOOK EARLY... we had to change the dates of our trip (should be there now) but had to change because of the storm and now having a hard time getting into our 1st choices... i'm checking and checking :surfweb:

We've done them all over years and thought the best character interaction we've had has been O'hana and 1900 PF - especially earlier seating times.

We particularly liked PF because it has face characters - so it's a little easy to interact with them because they can actually speak.

Our favorite breakfast is Cape May at the BC......we also love Chef Mickeys. We think the character interaction is great at both :goodvibes.

A lot depends on what your kids like.

We like Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, Hollywood & Vine, 'Ohana and 1900 Park Fare as far as character breakfasts go. Hollywood & Vine is more the preschool set so that may not be your thing and Crystal Palace might not sit as well if your kids aren't Pooh fans.

The only one we haven't done that might also interest you is Cape May Cafe. I've heard mixed reviews. We've only done the princess meals for lunch and dinner, but the meals could be fun for breakfast as well if you think your kids woud like all of princessy attention.

The only character breakfast we've done that we didn't like and found it to have sub par character interaction was Tusker House. We had service issues and food freshness problems with that one as well.

The best character interaction for breakfast, IMO, are 1900 PF (Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger), Cape May (Minnie, Goofy and Donald), Akershus (princesses). Face characters tend to give much better interaction because they can interact with more than just gestures and are generally a lot of fun. Cape May tends to be quieter than most other character meals and the characters sometimes come around more than once and the interaction never feels rushed (unlike CM, CP or TH).

I will give honorable mention to Garden Grill for dinner. The food is nothing great, but rotating around LwtL and the character interaction are great. The characters sometimes come by as many as 3 or 4 times which can be a lot of fun.

We just got back and really enjoyed our breakfast at Ohana. Mickey was mosts in demand and spent the least amount of time at our table - but my kids were also least interested in Mickey, so that could also be why. Stitch, Lilo and Pluto were great and spent a TON of time at our table goofing around with the kids. Lilo and my youngest got into a kissing match, Stitch was a riot during the photos making funny 'paw' gestures behind my son's head, and Pluto was the best! The two oldest boys (both teenagers) were 'too cool' to get up and pose for photos, so Pluto went to them - and proceeded to put their heads inside his mouth - priceless!

We also thought the food was good and plentiful. It's family style so they bring platters out to you - no fighting crowds at a buffet!
