Choose Your Destiny - Details Revealed-Purple Hero Suit

Also, it is possible that staff read the complaints about the ride-a-thon such as multiple rides preventing "everyone from getting a chance to get in" and making the items so "common". By making it untradeable, they also discourage the use of multiple mules. They may just be trying a different strategy to keep guests from riding over and over. As to the mask, there is a good chance it may go on sale when the other color costumes do.

I do feel badly for those who can't get on each day and will have a different disappointment.

Of course I'd be going out of town this weekend ... *sighs* Oh well :)

I wish they could make it tradeable. I'm fine with the fact that everyone only gets one (I mean, that's all you really need anyhow) but it would be nice to be able to get stuff for friends... oh well, hopefully it'll be tradeable in the future :)

I agree with the suggestion about keeping the event open all day long! We will have an issue with Saturday and may not be anywhere near a computer during those times for the event on Saturday which will mean that none of our characters (mine or my girls) will have purple pants!!! Eeeeeek!!!

How on earth will they resolve those sorts of issues. If the event were all day long, we would get home in time to jump on in the late evening to at least make it through once but with these time frames I am afraid you will be seeing us with purple shirts, mask and maybe space pants instead!! :rotfl2: :confused3

Well if anyone could get a me a few extra with their mules just in case they ever become tradeable, that would be nice. :( This is during the exact wrong time for me! I'm going away right as it starts, and have absolutely NO chance to get on. So this seriously bites. Now I don't get a mask or the purple costume, and I can't get one at all, apparently ever. Unbelievable. :furious:

Just a thought/suggestion...

Why not let someone you trust play your character the days you cant? I know it's sort of against the VMK values to give out your password, but here is what I'm thinking.

1. Trade all your valuable stuff off your main character to a mule.
2. Change your password to a generic password for the weekend.
3. Give the info to a friend.
4. After event, change back to normal password and trade items back to main character.

Or if you trusted someone enough, just give them the info and skip all the other junk. I call my brother and make him do it for me if I'm working. :stitch:

Obviously this should be done only with extreme care! Don't just pick a person because they are here on dis and if you're a kid I wouldn't try it at all, unless its an adult relative.
If you are going to try this, here's the link for disney guest services where you can change your password

I can't say enough, even with the precautions antonius suggested which are very good, please be careful! With all the scammers around lately I just don't want to hear anymore stories of heartbreak!

The line might let people in going with the fact that there is only one prize per person per day and that might help a bit.Another thing that i thought about is that it will take shorter for people to leave and make space because they will be going through teleporters instead of going on a ride that leads to a teleporter. But yet another thing is if they will be ride teleporters or not.Yet one last thing, why go with being non-tradable?It is not fair to many people but it could be solved with a couple hundred contact us's  It's really rather obvious!

For the people who won't be able to go on those days, maybe you can find someone you trust to go on for you and give them your password or something..I dont know..You can always change it later at the disney site!

I wish I knew how to link because AdventureTaz post he hit the nail almost right on the head. About to get a mask we would have to do a ride and spend tons of credits. Well we can save our credits but we are going on a ride :)

My thought about this. I believe some day it will be tradeable. They are doing this to stop people from hording and creating mules just for this ride. Also to cut down on the number riding as to give everyone a fair chance to get a suit.

So my thought someday it will be tradeable when I am not sure. :)

Well this one is buy ThurlFan, but this person pretty much got it as well! :rotfl2: Who'd "a" thunk? :rotfl2: Scroll down and find the post by ThurlFan

Also instead of risking the scam, have someone give clues on which teleporter goes where on here? I hope we still get the prize for trying!

BOO BOO BOO BOO AHH AHH AHH AHH AHH AHH AHH AHH

I hate vmk for some reasons!!
Some things, divers suit, purple suit, pirate magic are not tradeable wich really stinks.
BSOD
VMk has mean staff they ignore you and almost never listen, just use the ignore button. Someone on vmk said they are so mad at vmk they they might
Sue vmk!!

Hmm I am sorry you feel that way. VMK staff doesn't ignore anyone they just have LOTS of work that needs to be done. That's why they hire CL's to answer questions :thumbsup2. The magic is not tradeable since it's just 1 code for everyone and with that there would be to many 5 star pirate, cursed storm, and treasure magics going around. The diver suits are also very easy to get so that too is not tradeable. This new purple costume idea is to stop all of the muleing which I think is an ok idea, everyone has at least 5-50 mules or more.

Personally, I don't see exactly how this would stop muling.
each character can get only 1 and they are non-tradable.

Which means, that if I want my main mules (ones that I have on regularly and have rooms and friends of their own) to each have one, Then I have to log on each of them and run thru the maze with each to get a suit.

It also means that there is no sharing between them. So I can't have just 1 suit and trade back and forth between them. Which means I have to have my mules up and logged on VMK.

So how would this stop muling? I think I could cause more.

A very good point!

sorry VMK each of my characters will be trying to get these suits tradeable or not! I play several characters and enjoy each one of them and like to get as many of the available items for each as I can. So you can count on my "mules"being in line several times this week-end!

I can see a big potential for alot of scamming going on!

I know VMK wants to cut down on people muling in this event but making the costume not tradeable is not the way to go.

Lower the credits for items and make the credits easier to get is the way to do this.

They were on the right track with pirates 150 credits level three win and all the other big credits they had insituted then they lowered them all again!

:(

Bad move on their part...what they are essentially doing now with the purple super suit is making it a rare item that can not be traded and making the ones who get it superior to the ones who can not.

What happens if you can only get one part of this suit?? hopefully it will be for sale later but what happens that when it is released for sale you can not afford it!

:furious: :furious: :furious:

Not at all happy with VMK on this one yet again.

This is exactly the situation we will be in this Saturday and I am sure that we are not alone. Thankfully it is the purple pants and quite frankly I don't think the super hero pants do anything for my figure anyway!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I asked HOST_Phinney last night if the masks were ever going to be buyable and she said yes.

Thanks Sonya! :thumbsup2 That is good to know.

It's not an ok idea when some of us can't get on for even one day so we're left with no costume, ever. I totally disagree- I'm sure the people with mules may be annoyed about it but what about the people who won't get it even on their main account? At least the mask apparently might be buyable.

If the masks are going to be buyable, then they should be tradeable. I hope so, because I don't think I will be on VMK during the event.

YES! Score one for the people across the pond.

I don't really care about not getting the purple suit; I only want the mask. Knowing VMK they will probably make the event all day/make the suit tradeable without telling us.
