choice hotels....

I have TONS of points so we are thinking of booking a FREE room at a choice hotel. These are like, comfort inn, quality inn, sleep inn etc. Does anyone have an opinion as to which one would be a good place to stay? Which ones are close to the parks? Thanks!!!

I've heard lots of good things about Comfort Inn Maingate East, I have nevered stayed there myself, but I have researched choice hotels in the area because I want to use my Choice Hotel points as well next year and this is where I plan to use them.

I would agree that the Comfort Suites Maingate east is the way to go. We have stayed there numerous times over the years and it is always nice. My DH travels so we use points also. I did try the Comfort Suites Maingate our last visit in July. We needed to be closer to that side of the parks for my daughters dance competition at Coronado Springs. I did not like it as well. The rooms are outside corridors,the rooms are smaller, and the breakfast just wasnt as good. I will go back to Maingate East. Hope this helps!

Is there a difference in Confort Inn Suites Maingate and CIS Maingate East? I am booked for a visit at the CSI Maingate....if there is a difference is the Maingate one equal to the East location....I'm getting confused.

I usually stay at this one a couple times a year for my 1st night since I fly in the night before my WDW ressies start. Just got a rate of $39/night for my 1 night in mid-Sept. on TRAVELZOO.com

Anyway, although this place is a little worn, it has always been clean and is REALLY close to DTD. Has a fridge, microwave and coffee in room.

I would take a look at the QI Maingate East, or actually I think they changed their name to Quality Suites Royale Parc Suites. Check tripadvisor for reviews as well once you've narrowed it down.

We have stayed at The Comfort Suites Maingate and absolutely loved it Very clean hotel..great breakfast choices and overall very pleasant people. Also very close to the pasrks..maybe 10-15 minutes and walking distance to yummo cracker barrell and a great pizza joint. Also close to Friday's. I think you will be very happy if you chose it

We're also Comfort Suites Maingate West fans - their pool is huge and like a bath it's so warm - we also like that we can walk to lots of restaurants if we want to. We actively stay half offsite, half onsite (but we are British so staying in motels is exciting for us) as is going to Taco Bell and Dairy Queen (both right near the Maingate West).
