I tried Atkins a while back. While low carbing is not an option for me as a way of life, the one thing I did appreciate was the low carb candy bars. One of those a day and I was VERY happy!

I've decided that WW is a better fit for me. But I crave Chocolate! Is there any alternatives out there for me? Something in the 4 - 5 point range? I mean, it could make a really big difference for my overall success if I could find an alternative to my chocolate bars!

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?:smooth:

one of my chocolate treats which is Diet Swiss Miss Hot cocoa with calcium 25 pts per pack. If you are a coffee drinker add a bit of instant coffee. works for me and I get those chocolate attacks way to often - so try to nip it in the bud without going for the real thing if I can .

Good luck :D

Thanks!

I just saved the candy list site as one of my favorites!
If I am careful in planning my points, I could still "indulge" once in a while!:teeth:

I love Kudos at 2 or 3 pts depending on which kind. I also like Rice Krispies Treat (Double Chocolate Chunk) at 2pts.

I second the "mini's". In the baking section you can find mini m-n-m's, and you can eat a "handful" or two or three! A 1/4 cup is about 5 points. I also love mini reese cups, about 1 pt. per mini cup. I think the reese's are more satisfying that the m-n-m's.

I have also had a lot of luck getting the nutritional info for all of the new "Atkins" foods, Subway, Blimpie, etc. I tried the peanut butter cups but did not like them. If you do, they usually translate well to WW. (The Subways don't, but you can get any fillings in the wraps).

I don't know the points for a Wendy's Frosty, I'm sure someone does, that might be a good treat every once in a while.

Good luck!

Mmmmmm, I love chocolate too. Definately don't deprive yourself. When you crave something, satisfy it or you'll end up not being able to make this a way of life forever. Plus your more likely to binge on that food later.

I induluge in my favorites once in a while. I love reeses PB cups. It's 2 points per cup.

Enjoy your chocolate!

I love chocolate and I always need a daily chocolate "fix". I keep the Hershey Kisses on hand and I have found that if I suck on them they last more and they are satisfying enough for me to only eat 2-4 a day. 4 Kisses are only 2.5 pts and that works for me.

They have fat-free jello chocolate pudding that is 2 pts per container. This is a good chocolate fix & a way to get some dairy in, too. I also like the sugar free or low fat fudgesicles. The Skinny Cow brand are only 2 pts - they're good for chocolate cravings & ice cream cravings, too! HTH!

WW has double chocolate crunch 2 pt bars. They are good and if you want to make them last put them in the fridge...they take longer to eat that way.
I also like york peppermint patties.

Miss Merigue cookies very chocolate minis..about 10-12 cookies for 2 points...I am addicted to these!

Wow! Guess I'm not the only chocoholic around here!:hyper:

Got some great ideas to tide me over.

Nancy - Where do you find the WW bars?

A friend of mine also has choc yogurt which she says really cures her craving. Too bad my grocery store doesn't carry it - it would count for a milk serving too! I have choc pudding sometimes, but that is not nearly as satisfying as biting into a good ole chocolate bar!:teeth:

Hi, just went to my first ww meeting tonight and that was one of the things they talked about. They sell the ww bars at the meetings and everyone was raving about them. I looked at the boxes and they said they were 2 points.

I buy them at the meetings, but I'm sure you can just walk in and buy them without going to the meetings. WW sells lots of products in their meeting locations. A girl I work with hoinmed WW after seeing how well I've done and she loves the smoothies. I haven't tried them yet, but I plan on getting some today. If you don't know where meeting locations are in your area go to the WW website and click on the find a meeting tab..they will tell you the locations closest to you and the times they are open.

I snack periodically on a Cadbury Fruit & Nut bar for a GOOD dose of chocolate. On the BIG bar, I calculated 10 squares (about 1/3 of the bar) at 5 points. You can eat the whole 5 points, or you can eat just a couple of squares for only 1 point. It gets the job done for me! :D
