Chiquita Bananas to sponsor Living with the Land

1) Be nice to have also sponsored Soarin'.
2) Might be easier to "slip" into the ride.

I'll assume he means $$$ for a new film or at least a digital print/projector for the current one.

that's sort of what I thought....and I agree with that, and they should make a Florida version of the film :rolleyes1

JII is closer to getting done than Soarin Over the World. Soarin numbers wise is by far EC's most popular attarction! The conversion to digital would only take a month so that's what they will do if anything!

but as cool as going over Cali is, it really doesn't fit in with Epcot....
Although the Soarin' film was filmed in California for Disney's California Adventure, the film is ultimately about the land: mountains, valleys, farmland, coastal cliffs, and so on. California is blessed with an incredible variety of terrain. I love Florida, but the state's terrain is flat and boring compared to California.

The California footage is great, but it's Jerry Goldsmith's brilliant score that makes Soarin' really soar.

I'd like to see a new Soarin' at Epcot and DCA one of these days, but it would have to be more than just substituting one agricultural field for another and one coastline for another.

As it is, Soarin' remains wildly popular, so there's no real reason for Disney executives to spend many millions on a new film with a new score -- especially if that film could turn out not be as good as the current one.

Too bad they couldn't use (buy) the footage from"Aerial America" on the Smithsonian Channel....

The only problem I have right now with Soarin' at Epcot is flying over Disneyland at the end...they could have at least had a Magic Kingdom flyover, but I forgot how cheap Disney is

It's Disneyland because the film is suppose to be simulated hang glider tour of California. They didn't leave it to be cheap. It would kinda ruin the theme of the ride if it was Florida at the end
