Chilly's Golden Triangle Roadtrip (with not a lot of road) Day 13 - Disney

Thursday 7th April

I don't sleep very well, the room is really noisey because of the road and really light because of the windows with no curtains. Its a good job we are up early though as the hotel staff aren't exactly quiet either, banging doors and hoovering outside our door before 9am. We took the car back and then headed to the park but realised we'd forgotten the camera so DH ran back to the hotel and I checked out the World of Disney store. We grab breakfast at the bakery, choc croissant for me and raspberry danish for DH. We headed in California Adventure and got FPs for World of Colour. DH went off to join the single rider line for California Screamin and Dizzy and I queued up to meet Mickey, as I handed Dizzy to Mickey his ears fell off and Mickey tried for ages to put them back on. I went to see if I could get FPs for Toy Story forgetting they don't do them, I saw how long the queue was and knew we wouldn't be getting in line for that. I then went to look out for DH on the ride.

We checked out the ferris wheel but that had a huge queue as well so we went back round to Soarin and got FPs for that and then queued up for TOT. Next up was the Aladdin show which is really funny. On the way out we saw Pluto. For lunch we went to the Lucky Fortune, I had orange chicken and DH had Thai chicken. We got fortune cookies, DH's didn't have anything in it, I played the numbers I got on the lotto when I got home but didn't win. To let lunch go down we went into exhibit with what's coming up in the park as they've got lots of work going on.

We went to use our Soarin FPs, the queuing area is much better here, then went back to TOT to get a FP for that. Went into the Animation Academy and drew Grumpy then rode Monsters Inc. Tried the Silly Swings before our FP time for TOT came around. Both times on TOT we got a lot of screamers.

We exited the park and DH ran back to get the coats from our hotel. I went to Tomy Romas to see if we could get a table. I had ribs and DH went for the steak and we shared a brownie for pudding. Back in the park I buy socks and then we go to watch WoC, we are about 40 mins early but all the good spots are gone already. The show is great but would have been better if I was taller and we'd been more centered.

Hi Claire - just found this - about to go to work so will have to read later on - just wanted to say - LOVE DLR - it was our first day on 7th April - well we arrived on that date - our first full day was next day 8th.
