Anyone know if they serve chili WITHOUT beans anywhere at DCA or DL? I did a search and found that Cozy Cone has chili with beans. Golden Horseshoe has chili but don't know if that has beans or not.

Any reviews on the chili in general?

All the chili I've had at Dland has been with beans (chili in bread bowl, Walt's chili at Carnation Cafe, chili dog). Beans are probably an inexpensive extender of the chili, and they'd need to charge too much for an all meat version like you'd get at a foodie chili cook-off. In terms of quality, I think it is fine. Nothing spectacular but just fine. I like it on a cold night while waiting for F! (Have to get it to go from Golden Horseshoe).

It's not a foodie thing. Chili is meat, chiles and spices. Beans are just a cheap filler that should never spoil a good bowl of red.

I think all the chili at DLR has beans in it. I have to say the chili in the bread bowl is my favorite, maybe just because it comes in a bread bowl, and Walt’s chili at Carnation has a nice little kick to it from what I remember. As PP said, it’s good, nothing too spectacular, but still good. :)
