Unfortunately i do not have the receipt. I am sure they are new for the Fall season though..Have you ever brought something back to TCP? I am really pissed - my son is on his knee's alot in the house, playing on the carpet but still i have them a few weeks. Do you think i should try to return w/out a receipt?

You can, I have in the past but you will only get store credit. Your best bet might be to call the store before making a trip out to the store to be sure.

Thank U - i need to hit the Mall on Thursday to return something @ Sear's so i'll bring it with me.

It couldn't hurt to try, the label on the inside of the pants should say TCP or Children's Place so they will know it's there item. Hopefully they will give you a store credit but, if they went on sale or clearance that is the credit price you will get.

i'm just really annoyed that the rip so so easy!! he seriously wore 1 pair 1 or 2x and got a hole in the knee and the other pair 2 or 3x. And they wripped from him playing around on the carpeted floor...i mean really - he has gap athletic pants that he's been wearing for 2 years no holes!!

We had to stop buying pants, particularly jeans, at The Children's Place for this very reason. DS would end up with a hole on one knee within a couple of wearings. It was so frustrating. Now I end up getting most of his pants at Sears so I can use the Kid Vantage program that allows you to replace worn out clothing. I have already brought back a pair of OshKosh athletic pants that wore out since the start of school.

My ds did it with the tag still on!!! I figured I got the "action" pants cheap enough and they are play pants anyway. Now that the boys are getting older and wearing the pants/jeans longer-I automatically iron in the knee patches before they rip them :-)

I had the same problem. I swapped out once, and when the new ones ripped again...I said no more CP jeans.

I have the same problems with my 5YR jeans at CP. I now get him Jeans at Gap when they do the buy one get one, or the 30% off. Now my youngest who is 2 is fine with the CP. My problems didnt start until my son got more acitve.

They let me return the 2 pants! The manager said oh usually we need the receipt, but she'll give me a store credit. I actually made money - the pants were 16.99 each 2/$25.00 and i got her an exact pair to ring it BUT instead of ringing it as 2/25 she rang up 16.99 each! so i made $$$.

The store was packed - lots of sales so i just took the store credit and i'll go back. - probably pick up 2 pair of dress type pants...

Glad i went in!

As a previous poster said, I would only buy DS's pants at Sears when he was younger. He would wear through pants like nobody's business, I swear he was walking the sidewalk on his knees or something. :confused3 Bring them in, swap out at Sears, no problem.

Of course, now he's 13 and going through pant sizes in just a couple months. It's now Goodwill all the way, I can't afford to keep him in pants that fit!

My son had the same problem with Gymboree ones, he wore them ONCE and they had a hole. I didn't return them just stopped shopping there for his clothes.

Suprisingly, the ones at TARGET hold up extremely well to the point that he actually OUTGROWS them. And considering they get worn at least once a week, that's awesome.

I have had a problem with holes in the knees as well, but it doesn't happen in the second wear. It usually takes my son about 4 to 6 month to accomplish that.

I have been having problems with Children's Place pants for quite awhile now. They rip every where in no time. I had a pair of jeans that ripped right across both knees the first time my son wore them and another that did the same thing after two wears. I bought them on sale the year before so I didn't take them back but I should have because that isn't right.

The other thing I am annoyed about in the change in sizing. It's much smaller than it used to be. I used to be able to buy things a year in advance onsale now that isn't working as the sizing is so unpredictable.

I need to find a new store to shop at!
