I know over the years I've read about alternative menus for kids. I think I remember reading that they'd let kids order from the menu from the Kona Cafe. Is this still true?? If not, what other selections are there for kids?? My DSs aren't little kids but they're pretty picky, unfortunately. I'd like to know what's available to them, in case they don't like the regular menu for O'Hana. Thanks!!

Just asked month I asked if I could order off of Kona's kid's menu and they looked at me like I had two heads. LOL. They did have a childrens' menu. DS got mac and cheese, I don't recall the other choices.

We ordered hot dogs for our kids- the server suggested it actually as they saw our kids just sitting there with their food on their plates and not touching it. He also suggested chicken strips, mac and cheese and one other thing...grilled cheese maybe? It was no problem and they didn't charge us for the 'Ohana kids meal price, just the price of the hot dogs which I think was $5.99 or something like that. They were VERY nice about it and once we ordered them he brought them back within 5 minutes or so with lots of fries. :D

We ate at O'hanas for the first time on Friday night Dec. 19th. We liked the food and atmosphere. Our DS got to choose between the obvious selections and chose a hot dog. I asked our server if he could have a chicken wing off the appitiezer tray. He told us go ahead and he could try anything he wanted off it. Just ask, they were really helpful.:wave2:

We've eaten at Ohanas a couple of times with DD, 4. They will tell you what is available but it was always hotdogs, chicken strips, pb&j, all served with fries, and mac and cheese. They do not charge for a Ohana child's meal but only $5.99 for the kids meal. They get the food from the Kona Cafe but they don't give a menu for it.

They offered us chicken fingers and were still charged the 9.99 childrens price. I wasn't happy about it at all. My DD's could have split one plate and still had a ton of leftovers.

As we had to traipse all the way across the restaurant to play the games I had to leave my plate also. The seconds never appeared and I left hungry with an empty wallet.

They are very accomodating if the children don't like the regular offerings. Just ask and they'll let you know what's available for children.

I just ate there a couple of weeks ago and while the children's items weren't on the menu, they did mention to "ask your server for children's selections."
