My daughter is 11 and I am debating whether I should have her go to the Edge club or Oceaneer's. I don't want her to be able to check herself out of the club. Which is the best club for someone who probably wants to spend most of her time playing computer games? Also, are all kids in the Edge club able to check themselves out or do I have to give my permission? Thanks!

Unfortunately (for you), at 11, she can come and go from either Oceaneer's or Edge as she wishes.

The better computer games are in the Edge, but there is no way to restrict your DD coming and going from the Edge. Only the Lab and Club have controlled check-in and check-out procedures. The kids in the Edge can come and go as they wish.

If you don't want her to be able to check herself out, then she won't be able to go to the Edge. Tweens going to the Edge are allowed to come and go as they please. My understanding is that if you don't give self-checkout privileges for Oceaneers, she won't be permitted to attend the Edge.

You can set your own rules though. Just tell her she needs to text you through the Navigator app or Wave phone if she wants to leave and wait for you to come meet her.

My son is 10 and we just came back from a 7 day Caribbean cruise. I was also worried about him having check out privileges and wandering around the ship. However after 3 days on the ship and seeing how many kids were without adults I felt better about it. He moved to the edge and carried a wave phone with him. He had to let me know when he was leaving was our rule. It worked out great for him.
