Childrens Camera

My almost 4 year old loves to use our take pictures. He is very rough and busy. I am terrified he is going to drop and or break our camera. I have seen the kids vtech cameras in the past. Does anyone have any experience with kids cameras? I know picture quality won't be great, but this does not matter. Are they tuff and hopefully unbreakable?

We bought DS one for Christmas for the same reasons - he loves taking pics but was constantly using/dropping mine! He LOVES it. We haven't even downloaded any of the pics, he just loves that it is his camera and he can take pics and edit them on the camera. It seems pretty tough, he hasn't damaged it thus far! It's the orange & yellow VTECH camera.

I say get him one and let him have fun!

DS had the KidTough (fisher price, I think) at that age. Decent quality and fairly indestructible. Actually just gave it to a friend for her soon to be 4 yo and the only problem was it needed a new USB cable because of me!

Our DDs had the V-tech camera and loved it! Not only were they able to take pictures, but they could play game son it too. It did take quite the beating from being dropped, but survived every time. Sadly it met it's demise when we adopted a St. Bernard who used it as a chew toy

If your little one has a Leapster Explorer there is a camera video attachment for it. My kids love to use it to take pics and the fun effects they can put on them and the games they can play with the pics (like a tile puzzle, etc).

My daughter had the Fisher Price Camera and loved it. she is now old enough to use my regular digital camera without me fearing the worse.

I would see if one has a rechargable battery because we were going through batteries like crazy...
