Ok this is just a question. Has anyone ever gone to Disney with a 3yr old and told them they were 2yrs. For a room and park package? Ok I'm ready tell me how rotten I am for thinking it....... it's about numbers in our room more than the cost of the park pass. Anyway. can 3 and bit pass for 2???

Are you serious?? I will be very surprised if anyone replies that this is ok because IT'S NOT!

My DS just turned 3 in November, he has a park ticket for our upcoming trip. On all our documents he is listed as a three year old. I would never lie about his age. A lie is a lie no matter how you try to spin it.

if you did something like that wouldn't you FEEL BAD?! to me the guilt would ruin any joy from getting something cheaper.

I'm sure some people do this, but I never have and never would.

If someone said to your Daughter...

Hi there Princess, how old are you sweetie?

What would she say?

Would you ask her to Lie?

No it is not ok.If they are 3 they are 3.Not to get on my moral soapbox , but you are teaching your child that lying is ok.What would you do if they asked your child how old they were? They have been known to do this btw.AS for room occupancy numbers it is due to firecode and for your protection that all guests over the age of 3 count towards total room occupancy.

I don't know if I can explain this right. But the reason for the question isn't because I'm too cheep to pay for the park pass, it comes down to the room we are a family of 6 I would love to stay at the POR there rooms hold 5 it seems a shame to have to give up staying there beacuse it is too costly to book a second room just to house a 3yr old who is going to sleep with me anyway So there is the delema giving up on the room and doing what is right booking at one of the All Stars for nearly the same price. Or being a liar....

I am taking documentation to prove that my DD is 2. My girls are 10.5 months apart and both will be 2 when we go in June, there is a 6 week period each year when they are the same age. DD#1 will turn 3 in June and DD#2 will have turned 2 at the end of May. It worked to our advantage to go when we are going, but we would never lie about their ages.

Regardless..Like I said before room occupancy numbers are a firecode thing. It is for everyones protection( including yours) that you follow the rules.Sorry but it is exactly as it says.If you say they are 2 for the room. They will not get a park pass, dining plan credits etc.Think about the example you are setting for your children. In any rate disney has a policy and it is what it is.This thread will get shut down if we discuss how to circumvent disney policy.

When we a few years ago my DS turned 3 at the end of August and we went the first week in September. When I was making reservations and they asked how old the kids were I told her that he was 2 at the time but would be 3 right before we left. She told me that she would mark him as 2 on the paperwork, but since we were doing the free dining we actually paid for his park tickets instead so we were covered with dining(I know would have been cheaper to pay for meals for him...) I was too afraid we would be there and he would say that he was 3 and make me look like a fool and we would have to pay for him anyway! But the CM was the one that offered to put him down as 2...I know what you mean about room situations though I am hoping to get to WDW before my youngest turns 3 this summer since we will have 5 in our family now!

Yeah it sucks to have more than 2 kids doesnt it. I caution people who want to have a third to consider the extra costs involved in traveling. And for those with even more, sorry, but you have to expect to pay more.

That is how the cookie crumbles.

I can't understand why you would want to cram 6 people in ONE hotel room, when the suites at All Stars or one of the DVC villa's were created for larger familes.

Well, I agree with you on cramming another child into the room, but I would never sway someone to not have another child (or in our case, adopt a 3rd child) just because of travel.

There are so many other options.

Because I don't want to cram into a hotel room, we get a 2 bedroom condo off-site. We used to stay on site and now we are die hard off site GIVE ME ROOM fans! Plus, we love having more than 1 TV after a long tiring day, having a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a washer/dryer in the unit!

WhooHoo! We leave in 4 days, staying off site at a 2 bedroom condo!
