Hi,

We are arriving Sunday and I'd like to know if anyone dresses their children in shorts in the morning. It looks like it might be around 60F when we leave for the parks early in the morning. What does everyone do? Bring shorts in a backpack or tough it out the entire day?

thanks,
Carol

If you think its warm enough, have them wear shorts, but have them bring a jacket to wear in the mornings and evenings. The temps dip down low once the sun sets. They can tie it around thier waist during the day when they don't need it.

We were there in February 2003. Only two of the seven days that we were there were cold. The other days we wore shorts with a sweatshirt. By 10:00 am or so you didn't need them again until nighttime. Just be prepared for wheather changes. Pack a little of everything.

We were just there last week and I had packed everything from shorts to gloves and hats. However, we didn't even need pants. We, including our DS6, wore shorts everyday from morning to night. It was very pleasant. It gets warm very quickly, especially in the sun. Have fun!! :cool1:

Depending on the kids' age we started out in shorts and sweatshirts- then took pants along with just in case- but only time you needed them was at nite without sun

hope we have great weather

it's been running upper 50's in the morning and then zipping up to the mid-70's. this time of year it all depends on when the sun is coming out. my daughter wears a sweatshirt to school and then ditches it into her bookbag. we've got windows and a patio door open right now.

We've always gotten our children windsuits to bring with us when the weather is iffy (cold mornings and nights with warm days). They are usually thin and lightweight and roll up easily to fit in a backpack. They can be pulled on over the shorts. Came in handy a few years ago in March when the high temp of the day was 60! :cold: :cold: :cold:

Hello from Washington, IL- we would love to live in FL- but our winter hasn't been too bad this year- and I think I would miss the seasons- also, we opened up our own business in June 2004 so we are here to stay.

Do you miss the seasons??

When we've been there in Jan and Feb, we've also noticed it gets cool quickly once the sun goes down.
I like the wind suit idea. Easy to pull on and off and light enough to carry.
