Hello - We are planning our next trip to WDW. We went last year (2012) and our kids were eight years old. They had an amazing time and were so in awe of the magic. How special it was for us as parents to experience WDW through their eight year old eyes and see how they were totally taken in by the magic of Disney. Thanks to so many posts and suggestions from all of you here at Dis Boards the trip went really, really well.

Initially we thought that we would wait four years to go back, but, we wanted the kids to experience Disney one more time while there were still in awe of that magic that Disney has to offer, so, we are planning to go back in 2014. Can't wait, but, we have to in order to build up some funds for it.

So, that was a long way to get to my question. I see that the magic cut-off between the definition of "children" and "adult" is 10 years old. Our kids (twins) will be turning 10 while we are there at Disney (one day after we arrive). How does Disney handle the pricing for the various packages (tickets, dining, etc...) if your kids turns ten while on their visit? Do they base the pricing on the age they are when they arrive, or, does the price adjust the day they turn 10?

Perhaps I am getting too detailed, but, I am just curious as to how to plan for this.

Thanks!

At your request you can upgrade the child ticket to adult at any ticket window at no cost to you. If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in the TPA&S Forum, especially Post #9, you can get a lot more information. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature. The ticket sticky is your friend!

Our DS turned 10 during our trip last year. The only thing that matter was the he was 9 when we got there! :cool1:

I bought non exp tix when the kids were younger and never used them, I tried to exchange them but Disney said no problem you can use them forever....even when they are 80 ;)

So that is awesome!

It's really a big increase at the TS rest. When the kids are over 10 so do as many buffets as you can with the characters, because the price is $160 a meal with 4,adults....... I'm kinda glad we did them all before they reached 10.

They are now 13 and 15 and don't want to dine with them, but we had some great trips and meals and exchanges with the characters over the years.

Enjoy!
