Children life jackets at castaway cay

i m taking our 1 yr old grand daughter on a cruise soon and wanted to know about life jackets at castaway cat. Do they have small ones for little children or do we need to bring our own?

Yes, they have lifejackets.

We brought our own "puddle jumper" for our then 3 year old - but we ended up using the life vest available on the island. It just seemed to work better for him.

Three sizes of life jackets are available on both the ship (at the pools) and on Castaway Cay.

Don't know for sure, but I'd hazard a "no" guess.

Typically, if it's a DCL excursion, and requires life jackets they will have them at the excursion location.

We’ve booked with Aristocat in Tortola on the NYE 7 night. (Our only non-disney adventure). I’m hoping it’s a problem I’ll actually get to worry about...but we’ll see. Poor Eastern Caribbean.

They do have have life vests, but I believe the smallest Child size fits 30-50 lbs, so definitely not for a 1 year old. When we went with our DD at that age, we brought our SwimWays baby float. It folds up like a car sun shade so it fit easily in the suitcase.

From the DCL website:
Q.Do Disney Cruise Line ships supply flotation vests for use in the pools?
A.As a courtesy, complimentary flotation vests are available on the pool decks aboard all Disney ships. These vests can only be worn by children in the swimming pools to help with flotation and must not be taken ashore at ports of call, including Castaway Cay.

Flotation vests are available for children and adults at the Pelican Plunge water-play area on Castaway Cay. However, these vests are for use only at this site and may not be used at the beaches.

Please note that flotation vests are not a substitute for the life jackets located in Guest staterooms, nor are they a substitute for adult supervision.

Also, only Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices may be brought onboard to use
Coast Guard personal flotation devices (PFDs), water wings and flotation sewn into bathing suits may be brought onboard
