Ok, for those who don't know, Children in Need is a charity appeal in the UK. Every year, the BBC holds a big event aimed at raising money for multiple children's charities.I don't think i've described it too well due to lack of sleep, but it's got a telethon which was today where a bunch of stuff happens like music, special tv minisodes, seeing where the money goes, etc. It's spread throughout radio, the internet, shops, schools, etc. Basically everywhere about a month before the telethon, and continues for a few months after. It's pretty huge and gets millions every year. This year's telethon total was over £20 million and it should be around £50 million by the final total. A single is also released every year where the majority of the money is donated to the charity. There's been songs from Spice Girls, S Club 7, McFly, etc. Here's this years:

Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band, or a bunch of animated characters from various kids TV shows around the world. Song went out at midnight on iTunes and by 30 mins, had become the number one download in the UK charts.
Just sharing the song, because I think it's too awesome to not be deemed threadworthy. But let's turn this into a mini question thread as well. What charities do you support? Do you volunteer anywhere? Are there similar things to Children in Need (and Comic Relief) across the pond?
