We are taking the cruise with my parents, staying in a seperate stateroom. When we are in Grand Cayman, we want to take my DS on the submarine excursion but DD is too young. My parents want to take DD off the ship and walk around the town. Is that possible? Would we have to supply some kind of letter to allow them to debark with her? She will be 1yr old (celebrating her b-day on ship!) I'm curious as to how DCL will handle this. If they don't ask for anything, isn't it possible, although HIGHLY unlikely, that anyone can walk off the ship with child that isn't theirs? I know they have some pretty good safety policies in the kid's clubs but what about the ship itself?
DD will only be 1, so she won't have a bracelet from the clubs and she's a very easy-going kid. She would walk off with anyone as would my son when he was younger. As I said, I think it is unlikely something like that would happen but anything is possible.
We took the 4 day last September with DS but since it was just DH and myself, I didn't notice if they took note of who was taking him off the ship. I remember them swiping our KTTW cards. If my parents take DD off the ship, she'll have a different cabin number, will that raise any red flags for DCL?
