Popular girl in high school, who I tried to ask out and was rejected in front of most of my class (after convincing myself to have the confidence in myself to do so):

“Girls only date tens, and you are not one of them”.

I responded in an annoyed voice:

“Girls may date tens but women like you eventually settle for very kind sevens and eights”.

I know it was kind of rude, but she embarrassed me for no reason (a simple not interested would have been fine).
