Hi everyone, sorry if this is talked about elsewhere, but I couldn't seem to find it.

Child Swap is always discussed with the concept of there being a child who can ride and a child who can't.

My Wife and I are visiting DLR in two weeks with our 7-month-old son. Can we do Child Swap on, let's say, Space Mountain, given that there will not be a child riding either time?

Thanks!

My understanding is yes you can. According to the unofficial guide it just requires 2 adults with a child below the height requirement. We used it but we had an older child as well. It does save time and can be used with fastpasses.

Absolutely. Also you can take advantage of Single Rider Lines that are available on some rides since you will be riding at a time. Some good tips:

1) One rides a Single Rider Line, gets a Child Swap pass, and the other can ride.

2) Get one FP for Space (DW ticket), one for Indy (your ticket). While using your FP, you can get a Child Swap for DH, and vice versa. You can double up on FP this way.

Oh definitely! We're a family of three, and although we haven't used it in awhile, we definitely used to use it.

If you think of it as it's more official name, which I do believe is Rider Switch, it can help you get away from thinking that you're swapping children on the ride. Or you could think of it as you're swapping the child OUT of the ride.

3Minnies1Mickey is right on with the SR or FP idea. I hear they don't let you do the FP thing at WDW (all riders must have a FP), but at DLR it works to have ONE person with a FP and get the Rider Switch pass.
