Child swap on Tower of Terror??

How does this work?

This is my favorite ride & we are going down there in December. My son has gone on this before, one time (he kept begging to try it) He did fine on the ride BUT he said he did not like the drop.
I have a feeling he will not want to go on it again in December so DH & I will take turns going on it.

How does the child swap work though? Do all of us go up to the walk way? Do we tell the CM that we want to child swap??
We have never child swap on any ride before so we are very new at this. Last June we had my mom along so when we went on rides that DS wasn't tall enough for he just stayed with Grandma. This time Grandma is staying home!!

I am not an expert because I just rode it once - but in that one time we did the child swap. We walked up to the start of the path and there is a CM there who we told we wanted to child swap - he gave us a coupon to take with us which we would then give to our DHs when we got off the ride - you then walk with the DH to take the coupon back to the CM at the beginning of the walk they would then be brought to the front. - by the way, our DHs waited over under an arbor areas to the right of the street in front of the HM. It had drinking fountains, benches and the like and you could see people as they walked out of the building - it was a great place to wait (the wait without lines was approximately 20 minutes for them to go through the ride). Our baby swap didn't really work as planned when we rode because the lines were extremely short so we didn't have to show the coupon to get right back on.

I hope someone comes along and explains this better. Because it is a little more complicated than most of the rides we did baby swap at but they are set up to handle it effectively it seemed.

Whne we did this we waited inside where you get too see your pictures and when my group came out we walked back up the exit and asked one of the CM if we could do a baby swap and they took us up right to the very front of the line
