Does anyone have any experience with renting/borrowing strollers on the Disney Magic?

Do they even have such a thing? I thought I had heard that they do either rent them or have some that you can use. I am trying to find out what the charges (if any) are, and also what are the strollers like? Are they intended for the 3 and under crowd? Will they handle a sleeping 7 year old if they had to?

Thanks for any and all input.

Yes, guest services has plenty of strollers. They require a $100 refundable deposit, which we put on our CC. We had brought 2 umbrella strollers for our 18 mo. old babies ~ however Disney's Graco were much better, as they were larger w/big baskets, nice canopy and trays w/bottle holders. Sorry, do not know the max weight or if 7 yr old would be too big.

Unforunately, the strollers DCL has available would be too small for a 7 year old. If you think you'll really need a stroller for a 7 year old, I suggest bringing a jogging stroller. They are really the only strollers that would accomdate a child that big, except for a special needs stroller.

I hope not--the hallways are too tight for anyone to squeeze past a doublewide, and some of the corners might be too tight a turning radius for the front to back type.

I think I asked the same question before. When and where do you rent the stroller? at check-in? on board? can you make advanced reservation? I want to make sure I can rent one if I am not bringing my own. I have a 22 months old. Also where do you return them?

thanks!

i noticed no one answered your questions. when we have borrowed a stroller (when we've gone, there was no cost or deposit required....don't know if that's changed at all), we just asked for one at guest services. i don't think they made reservations for them.

my recommendation is to go immediately to guest services upon embarkation....just head across the lobby and turn right instead of left when they try to heard you to lunch. guest services is right there...ask and hopefully ye shall receive!

I checked one out the first day of our cruise but later in the week when we arrived at St. Thomas they had them out for people to take off the ship and use, also on Castaway Cay they have them out for you to use. I would suggest still taking a small umbrella stroller. The Graco was nice since I could lay it down and let my baby sleep in it but the front wheels do not swivel so going around corners etc. was a chore. I would usually take the graco if we knew where we were headed but if we were going to walk around alot I took the umbrella. Our room was in the front in a niche so we were able to keep the stroller there right out side the door. There wasn't a deposit required, that was in 2000 though.
