Can anyone tell me about the Childcare/Babysitting at OKW? What are the age requirements (DS4, DD20mo's)? Times of day/night? Minimums? Maximums? Is it an in-room service or an area of the resort?
Thanks everyone for all your advice on here... it has helped ups tremendously... Just sent in our closing Docs for 100pts at OKW!!

Baby sitting services are in-room. They are not provided by Disney or OKW, but they are a private outside babysitting company, just like all other Disney resorts. They used to be provided by KinderCare, but I think they changed "official" providers a few years ago.

In other words, there are no Kids' Clubs at OKW. You are on your own when it comes to child care at OKW. Unless you want to drop your kids off at another location like the Cub's Den at WL or Neverland Club at the Polynesian.

I can highly recommend the Fairy Godmother service. They have been in business since just after WDW opened in '71. All of their sitters are females in their 30s/40s/50s and all are non-smokers. We used them several times when our kids were younger. They were always on time, very friendly and extremely professional. Each of the sitters we had brought games and toys for the kids to play with. They followed our instructions (dinner/bedtime/etc.) and we never had a single issue.

Their number is (407) 969-9847 and toll free 877-611-4314

Thank you all... does anyone have rates? Either current or otherwise... just so we know what we'll need to budget.

We used "kids nite out". Just google it. We used them twice on our last trip, and we were so happy. Ava just loved the two ladies (we happened to have a different one on both nights)! They brought age-appropriate games, books, and crafts.

You can look online, but the minimum was 4 hours at $16.00/hour for first child with a $10.00 transportation fee. There is a small additional fee per hour for each additional child. PLEASE look at the site for details, because I know that there is more.

We are using them again for one night this coming December.

You could drop your 4 year old off at on the of the other kids clubs, but not your 20 month old. Child must be 4 and potty trained to attend the kids clubs. Fairy Godmothers and Kids night out sound like the thing for you. Have a great trip

shellybaxter, I totally missed the 20m child. And you are correct on that one.

I am glad you were happy with this service. We are using them in November. I am very nervous about it but your comments make me feel a little better!

I thought about sending my older two to The Neverland Club but decided that not only money wise would it be better to use Kids Nite Out for all 3 kids but I think it would be a little more comforting for them all to be together. For example Kids Nite Out for 4 hours was going to cost me around $16/hour. The Neverland Club for 2 kids was about $22 hour. I was looking at about $200 for all 3 kids! With them all being together in the room, it will be $22/hr. I am going to pack a movie and some candy/popcorn for them to enjoy while the adults play! Good luck!
