I was wondering about families who have taken disabled children to disney and stayed at a deluxe resort.....
was you wheelchair bound child allowed to stay at the club?

We have never used one of the kid's clubs, but I know there have been DIS posters with children with disabilities who have.
The kids clubs are governed by the same ADA laws that apply to any day care setting in the US and they cannot discriminate against someone with a disability.

As Sue said I'm sure your child will be welcomed. Two of our children have special needs and were welcomed at the Neverland Club many years ago. I called ahead to talk it over and was reassured. Our DD has cp but was not using a chair yet at that point...just a stroller and "knee-walking"...don't tell her therapist.:o Our second son has Downs Snydrome as well as diabetes. We of course tested him and gave him his shot but they were great about listening to how much food he should have. Our older son was there too...he was probably 9 or so at the time but very responsible (no wonder, huh?) and kept an eye on them too.:D Anyway a good time was had by all. They will give you a pager like all other parents which was a comfort too.

My daughter is 12 an has spastic cerebral palsy, she uses a power wheelchair and needs assistance with almost everything - the employees of the Sandcastle Club have been EXCELLENT with her and my 6 year old daughter.
