Everyone to our TR.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writting it!

So let me just come out and say it. As much as I enjoyed coming home last night and sleeping in my bed again I would have given it up for just a couple of more days at Disney. It felt as if we were on the go constantly during our trip and it would have been nice to sleep in a day and head down to Epcot one more time. My DS told me that same thing yesterday on the bus back to Pop yesterday. He told me that he wished we could go back to Epcot to do Soarin' and Test Track again. This coming from the kid who didn't want to go on any thrill rides on our trip, but more of this further in this TR.

I must apologize that this is just a short beginning of our TR. I will return tomarrow to introduce you all to the cast of characters and tell you all about how this trip came into being.

As some of you may know my flight was scheduled for departure at 8pm so I was hoping to get on a standby flight for earlier that day. Did we make it on that stand by flight? I guess you will just have to tune in later to find out.

Thanks everyone for joining me here for our TR. It is nice to see so many good friends that I have made along the way on our PTR, and hopefully we will attract some new friends along the way.

I took over 600 pics during our trip and video of the JTA and FNtM so I hope you enjoy them. Though in the excitement of everything going on I regret to inform that I didn't take pictures of some of the things I meant to. I unfortunatly didn't take many pictures of the resort and only a few of our food. I have tried to rectify this a little by barrowing some other pics from the web so you can get an idea. I will let you know when these turn up.

I am sorry that it has taken so long to update this TR. I have spent most of the morning downloading all the pics and than making the side ways ones vertical. Who knew that it would take so long.

So now that we got that out of the way lets get this party started.

So now lets begin our TR by introducing ourselves.

First of all there is me. My name is Corrine, I am 37 years old and mom to 4 great kids (at least some of the time. To bad it isn't at the same time.) I am a huge Disney lover and took our planning to the highest degree only to throw most of it out of the window when we got to the parks. Thats right, besides going to the parks on certain days and our ADR's we basically winged it and had a blast. My favorite park remains to be MK but with Epcot close behind. I love all of the characters but Mickey has a special place in my heart as well as Tinker Bell who is tatooed on to my right ankle.

Next is my eldest DS, Liam. This trip was to celebrate his 9th birthday which was the Wednesday before our trip. He is definatly a typical 9 year old boy and loves video games, sports, and Disney (as long as it isn't princess's. His favorite characters are Phineas and Ferb and his favorite parks are DHS and Epcot. The great thing about this trip is that before we arrived Liam done right refused to go on many of the thrill rides. He was convinced to at least try most of them during our trip and ended up leaving them and wanting to do them again.

So I wanted to start by sharing with you a couple of pictures preDisney, but don't worry they definatly tie in. I just didn't have any time to add them to my PTR before we left.

First of all here is my mother's Day present from the kids. Do they know me, or do they know me.

And look who decided to visit Northern Illinois.

So the week before our trip I spent alot of time on line trying to tie up some loss ends. I was constantly checking the weather but go fustrated when it kept changing so I gave up and decided to deal with what ever mother nature dedided to deal us. At least we would be at Disney right. The night before our trip I checked AirTran and was very happy to see that there was still seats available on both stand by flights. That means we would be leaving the next morning at 7:30 am. I did as much packing as I could and tried to sleep.

We woke up about 6 am on May 29th excited to start our day knowing that we would be sleeping at Disney that night. Liam got dressed and did his breathing treatments for the morning while I got ready and finishe packing for our trip. Excitedly we all ready and on the road 5 min before we needed to be. Only have to turn around a few miles down the road to get the white Mickey baseball cap that I forgot. Oh well, at least we were still on time. Liam relized that he forgot his stuffed dog with the Jedi outfit half way there. Well, maybe next time.

We got to the airport an hour and a half before our flight. I went to the counter to check in only to find out that I went to the wrong counter. (I can read a sign, really I can.) I headed to the right counter to explain to him my problem and found out the only seats together were on the emergency exit row and Liam was to young to sit there. He garunteed we would have seats and sent us to the gate to figure it out. So we would definatly be on the 10:30 flight and didn't have to pay any extra.

Look who we saw on the way to the gate. Chicago's very own blues brothers.

So while I was trying to figure out the seating issue at the gate Liam was making a new friend who had a DS. So at least they kept each other busy while waiting for the flight to load up.

The best they could do is a seat in front of the other but hoped to fix it on the plan. As it turned out someone was in my seat when we boared. They had the seat next to Liam so we were set. I don't think any of them paid attention to where they were supposed to sit because the girl next to me was supposed to sit in that row to, but the three of them were there. Oh well, it all worked out and we were on our way to Walt Disney World.

That's great he met a friend, and that the seating worked out! Was his new friend heading to WDW too?

It actually turned out to be a starting trend during our trip. Every time we were in a line long enough he made a friend. And yes his new friend was going to WDW too, but sadly we didn't see him. But it was kind of busy so it was hard to pick anyone out.
